the ever changing thread and odds showed up in just a few hours

wasn't there relatives of Steve Clarke who used to post on the old forum ?

seems he had been linked recently to the Birmingham job in September --story in the Birmingham Mail saying

*************************

He might not have the sexy surname to set pulses racing. But Steve Clarke would be a solid appointment for Birmingham City as they look to get their season up and running. With crucial experience as a Premier League boss and the vital Championship knowhow from his time at Reading, the 54-year-old should be a man under consideration.

He’s out of work following his most recent adventure as No.2 to Roberto Di Matteo at Aston Villa and would be easily available.

Clarke has good contacts and he’s done his time in the trenches as an assistant boss, working alongside the likes of Jose Mourinho, Claudio Ranieri, Kenny Dalglish, Bobby Robson and (whisper it quietly) Gianfranco Zola.

A left-field choice and one who hasn’t even been mentioned but Blues could do a lot worse. He has unfinished business as a boss and would get the St Andrew’s side moving in the right direction.

those odds are too good to be true, we’re bound to end up with someone who’s half way down that list

can anyone remember if lee clark was favourite when he landed the job?

I think Graham Alexander was favourite for a while and attended the game vs Motherwell on the Saturday before Clark’s odd started to drop and he got the job

For those talking a out his 'gash' win percentage of 33%, our last three seasons have seen win percentages of 24, 24 and 29 per cent.

We'd be very unlucky to be in the mix for the playoffs winning a third of our games.

His gash win record a team West Brom gave them their highest ever finished in the premiership (8th) with 50 points. Followed by an FA cup semi final with reading for the first time in 80 odd years only to be let down late in extra time by a goalkeeping error.

Not saying he is the guy for us but for him to be written off as a bad is just ridiculous

If he gets the job (and I hope he does) I'd like him to appoint whoever he feels he would work best with as a number 2 with zero focus being put on whether than man has any Killie connections or not.

If you think about our younger players, Clarke's gone from Saltcoats to playing for Chelsea in European finals, then managing in EPL.

If he's up for it at a much lower football level at Killie, as a role model you won't get any better and doubt we'd get anyone else with the coaching experience at top level.

Is a no brainer.
