fraz65
Big Sam would be a decent appointment. It looks as though the SFA will go down the Malky "not too many white faces amongst that lot" Mackay route though.
Pompey Repatriated
Well it won't be Clarke! Ironically Killie could end with better manager than Scotland!
KillieFanInToon
Mike Phelan. Sam Allardyce can GTF, as can Mackay.
historyman
I think McKay was put in the development director role to see what the reaction was. It didnt generate a massive outcry, I think he will be the next manager.
Wrangodog
I see the name of Martin O'Neill being mentioned as a contender in today's gossip column. No doubt he has done well with ROI in getting them to finals, which at the moment is all the SFA cares about due to lack of finances. Any time I have watched them, most recently against Wales and Denmark, the football is all about a midfield and defensive wall with the odd attacking breakout, with McLean as their main source of inspiration. We don't have a solid enough central defence to play that kind of game so maybe if appointed he would adopt a more attacking formation. Would he be accepted as Scotland manager though ?
