Guaranteed to attack Harley-Davidson as "Un-American". Nothing The Donald does is ever a misjudgement or ill advised and never, ever, ever an own goal.

Did you see the infantile abuse launched in the direction of "The Red Hen" restaurant? This is The President of the United States of America launching a personal attack on a private business with a turnover less than the Park Hotel who refused to serve one of his policy advocates. To say the guy has absolutely no self awareness or sense of shame just doesn't cover it.

Just Harley coming back nearer home. Founders were the 3 Davidson brothers from up near Aberdeen & William Harley from Manchester. Company was funded by the Davidsons thrifty Grandfather. Hopefully get some cheaper parts in a few years but I doubt it knowing HD.

President Trump 'Asked Aides If He Could Invade Venezuela'

It must take a lot for people around President Trump to be shocked by what comes out of his mouth, but that bar was reportedly vaulted over when he asked if he could lead an invasion of Venezuela.

The President is reported to have posed the question at a meeting last August while discussing sanctions against the country.

(AP Photo/Cliff Owen) According to the Associated Press, Trump turned to his aides and asked why couldn't U.S. just invade to deal with President Nicolas Maduro, rather than using sanctions.

The suggestion is said to have "stunned" those present at the meeting, including then U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and national security adviser H.R. McMaster.

Apparently he is now worried about a "perjury trap" if he gives statements under oath to the investigation into Russia's alleged role in his election victory.

Oh, ma sides. xD xD xD.................

Well, for someone who tells lies without a moments hesitation and believes fact are just something you create to suite your own personal convenience, yes I could see how that might be a concern.

This explains the late night tweet-storm

US President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen has entered into a plea deal with US federal prosecutors in New York, US media report.

Investigators are examining whether Mr Cohen committed bank or tax fraud or violated campaign finance laws.

He had previously admitted to arranging hush money for a woman who claimed she had an affair with Mr Trump, which could be a violation.

Mr Cohen is reportedly due to appear in a Manhattan courtroom on Tuesday.

He worked at the Trump Organization for more than a decade and continued to serve as Mr Trump's personal lawyer after the 2016 election.

Mr Cohen's potential co-operation with investigators against Mr Trump has been tipped for weeks.

He once famously vowed he would take a bullet for Mr Trump. But he told ABC News last month that his loyalty to his family and country came before his old boss.

Last month it also emerged that he had made a secret recording of the president, in which they discuss a payment to a model who said she had sex with Mr Trump.

The nature of the reported plea deal is unclear and does not necessarily entail that Mr Cohen is co-operating against the president.

It could simply mean he has agreed to plead guilty to unspecified charges in order to spare the prosecution a lengthy trial.

Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort has been found guilty of 8 counts of fraud.

His former lawyer, Michael Cohen has pleaded guilty to campaign finance fraud. He committed crimes "In co-ordination with, and at the direction of Trump. Thus, the president appears to be co-conspirator and/or aider and abettor of a federal crime.

They're both going to jail for a long time (unless Trump pardons them... cough cough). As are Trump's national security adviser Michael Flynn, his deputy campaign chair Rick Gates and his campaign adviser/tea boy George Papadopoulos.

Despite what Trump whinges, these convictions makes it absolutely clear that the Mueller probe is not a ‘witch hunt' ... the calls for impeachment will be loud. Will the GOP put party over country?

So the President spent the morning Googling himself, then took to Twitter to complain about the news results that show up.

So

1) Google search algorithms are specifically set up to find negative stories about him, or
2) People just largely find him a thick, loud, obnoxious, self publicist.

That's a real tricky one.................

I don't come in here much as it is just an echo chamber for hardline numpties on either side of the Indy debate with GDevoy plowing a lonely furrow as the voice of the intelligent middle ground.

It is nice to see that Bob is taking his numptiness more international. Still a numpty but at least Bob is spreading his wings. :2:

There is no way of knowing what a bunch of drunken adolescents got up to 30 odd years ago. Some individuals may have behaved very badly and others may have feared they were in danger of being seriously sexually assaulted or even losing their lives. The reality is there is no way to know what happened, despite the "credibility" and or "emotional appeal" of any witnesses.

All the Brett Kavanaugh pantomime tells us is how low American society has sunk. It is a country where those at the very top of the tree, charged with the moral leadership of the nation, have absolutely no sense of morality themselves. Their willingness to weaponise the adolescence of their opponents shows a total moral bankruptcy. There is not a single one of them who could stand up in front of a camera and you would think, you know what, he or she is the sort of person who just does not tell those sort of lies. It seems every last one of them is willing to tell whatever lies it takes and sell their granny to white slavers if necessary to obtain their political objective.

Trump was right when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and wouldn't lose a single vote... that shows how low some American society has sunk.

Those at the top still need to be voted in but some of the electorate don't seem to care about indiscretions of the past, or indeed their competence for office, as long as those they put in power facilitate them getting 'theirs'!

I am reading this and am concerned that you are placing a moral equivalence on Kavanaugh and Blasey Ford.

I hope that is not the case and it is a simple matter of my misreading your point.

Having followed the confirmation process for Kavanaugh I have no doubt that he is not someone worthy of such an exalted, and if confirmed, untouchable lifetime appointment. Even these allegations aside he is wholly wrong for the role. However, the actions of the White House and GOP with regards to the allegations has been sickening. Almost as much as the "support" for Kavanaugh from Republican women, many of who are mothers. The message here has moved from "did he do it" to "even if he did then who cares".

This shows how far things have fallen in the US.

The moral degeneracy of the GOP and their supporters is truly sickening.
