Chris
The BBC gossip pages have us in talks about extending his contract. Dare we dream???
red_dug
Can only ask i suppose! On the plus side.........if he signs again he must have assurances that SSC is staying too.
Souleycouley93
Get him signed . Even if we lose him in summer we will command a fee .
gdevoy
Kilmarnock are in talks with 31-year-old DR Congo midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu, who came close to signing for Bordeaux in January, about a contract extension. (Daily Mail, print edition) I thought he already had a contract until the end of the season and I cant see us keeping him any longer. As Souleycouley93 says, I suppose if signs a contract extension it gives him security and means KFC can get some dosh when he goes.

I reckon he will go in the summer. Hope he signs the extension so we can get a fee if he does leave.
Squirrelhumper
I know folk were cautious about breaking the bank on Naisy but I'd sacrifice a couple of squad players next season to break the bank to keep this guy.
Souleycouley93
Someone saying on Social Media . Clarke is being paid 8k a week by BB . Mulumbu would require a similar figure . I think he will go tbh . It would secure us some cash as people will be getting him on cheap tbh . I’d also cut Thomas and Erwin etc to keep him . -
Mojike and Bod
If the rumours of BB and McLeish helping to subsidise Naisy's wages were true I hope they use this cash for Mulumbu. Would be massive. Agree with others it will enable us to get some sort of fee via a minimum release clause. I still think he will be off in the summer though.
Souleycouley93
We are on our way back though a win at Motherwell next week and win some of our remaining games in hand against Hamilton, Dundee , St Johnstone then we are in good shape -
Rml
Very much doubt SC is on 8k a week...half that I reckon would be much closer.

ross1987
Still need to comply with FFP do we not? And can only spend a % of our turnover on wages, does that apply to management as well as players?
Killieboy64
The Daily Mail is a poor source of information. The only reliable thing they've printed recently was the date on the front page. Still hope it's true though, of course.

I don't even think he'd be on half that figure. I don't think money was a motivating factor in any shape or form in this one. He might be on marginally more than jig but forget thinking he's on 400k or even 200k a year. Simply pie in the sky stuff.

Mojike and Bod
Was it not stated at the AGM previous to last our budget is 60% of turnover? A top 6 finish, cup run, increased commercial revenue and gate money coupled by one offs such as Celtic CL money and transfer fees (e.g. selling Jones in the summer) will give us a higher wage budget for next season.

My impression was that it only applies to teams playing in European competitions or this who qualify to do so, also that you are allowed to make a loss each year, just not excessively, which probably means losses which would far exceed that of our own. The premier league and football league have set their own standards which I think are more stringent than that of uefa’s. Fitba is doomed ah tell ye! Football isn't like another business though. For example pubs might have 20% wages to turnover ratio but their cost of stock etc is massive in comparison to football clubs. For football clubs wages are the biggest outgoing, for shops it's stock. You can't compare the two. 60% wages to turnover for a football club is healthy.

Son of Cudgel
Dare we dream of having the midfield maestro with us next year? If we do it will be a massive coup and send out a big message to other teams around us our intent. For the first time in ages I feel like we're going in the right direction.
