What does he know about football and why would anyone listen to his opinion anyway GTF lee

His comment is that Clarke and Neil 'know what the club is all about'

He hesitates because he knows that is utter dung, but it's a standard ex-OF pro comment when it comes to talking about a preferred candidate for the manager's job.

As was posted on the Rangers thread the other day, both are considered "bead rattlers", "taigs", "fenians" to name a few offensive terms that seem the norm with that lot.

He's not going to Ibrox, and Rae and Lee can flap their gums as much as they like but it still won't happen. "The people" are demanding De Boer while mocking Clarke's win ratio in management in England... irony certainly lost on them.

You'd have to be off your head or long term unemployed to consider that club... administration II can't be far away!

To be fair he only answered a question that was right at the end of a longer piece. Dont think we have anything to complain about with lee. Gave his all in various roles with the club, walked at the right time when things werent working and brought some brilliant players to the club who we can enjoy watching every week. Just couldnt get them to gel as a unit.

The ironic thing is that Alex Neill is a good manager and exactly the type of manager they need but because of their delusions of grandeur and sense of entitlement (even more ironically stoked up by the stupid, short sighted people who run the club) the fans wouldn't consider him enough of a name.

I think they really will struggle to get a credible candidate this year - anyone who takes it will only be doing it for the money and will last 18 months or even less.

The whole saga will provide loads of entertainment all summer long, perhaps topped off by a European exit in July to a bunch of postmen,  taxi drivers and plumbers who have never scored in Europe before.

Has my respect for effort he gave and work he put into our club and for walking as he did. He’s been in the press a lot in the last few weeks and it’s no surprise. Coming to a time of year when managerial vacancies will open up he’s putting himself out there.

The Rangers thing has become even more of a joke. They should have a manager lined up by now. It was evident very early on Murty was never going to get the job. It then went from bad to worse but they still seem to be mucking about. Can see them playing Euro qualifiers with no manager in place at this rate and only half a squad when all the loanee players run away.

He’s just positioning himself on the bookies board for the job ...probably just behind Barry Ferguson and in front of John Hughes

With Rangers finances, Yogi would be an inspired choice... don't take my word for it, let John tell you himself why he deserves to get it...

"what can John Hughes bring to the Rangers job, well I have only spent 15k in 20 years managing, that's what John Hughes can bring to the table"

For some reason I thought Lee would be more than this, ex old filth player dragged out in the media to give his opinion on something he's not involved in (Barry Ferguson / Alex Rae etc.)

He'd be better keeping the head down, get a gig in the lower leagues and work his way up (if he wants to be in management, if he wants to be old filth rent a guy then fair enough)
