C4mmy31 Posted May 14, 2018 Report Share Posted May 14, 2018 After a wonderful season for Killie, we've taken a look at some of the numbers behind our remarkable campaign. 59 – We secured the most points we’ve achieved in the three points for a win era. We achieved 57 points in 2002-03 when we finished fourth in the Scottish Premier League. 49 – Goals scored in the league this season. This is the highest total we’ve recorded since 2012-13 when we scored 52. 18 – Kris Boyd is the first Kilmarnock player to finish as the top league scorer in the top flight. He scored 23 goals in all competitions during 2017/18. 16 – Victory over Hearts ensures we have equalled our number of league wins in a single campaign since the Scottish League was reconstructed from the old-style 2 Division set up in 1975. We have achieved this total during the Scottish Premier League era – in 2002-03 and in 2006-07 when we finished fifth with 55 points from 38 matches. 11 – Our longest unbeaten run in the league this season started with a 1-0 victory over Celtic on February 3 and came to an end on April 21 when we were beaten 2-0 by Aberdeen. During this period, we won nine matches and gained two draws against Edinburgh duo Hibernian and Hearts. 9 – Killie have recorded nine home league victories this season, securing more victories than defeats at home for the first time since 2011-12. During that season we had 20 home games and gained seven wins, seven draws and six losses. This is the most home wins we have experienced in a league campaign since 2005-06, when we won 11 out of our 19 matches. +2 – We have finished the season with a positive goal difference in the top flight for the first time since 1998-99.
