I'm not a Hearts forum member so haven't read the thread It's been reported, mostly by Celtic fans on Twitter, that Rangers are in breach of FFP so therefore aren't allowed to compete in Europe without special allowance from UEFA. Rangers have lost x amount over the last 3 seasons, that's why they're in this position. Dave King admitted they were provisionally rejected by UEFA but wasn't too concerned because other clubs in a similar position had been granted allowance before. Aberdeen & Celtic fans have managed it okay in recent years for Azerbaijan/Kazakstan in recent years. I think as the games are only announced 7-14 days before the figures, the authorities are a bit more relaxed about visa appointments etc. Otherwise, there would be no fans at these games.
