Gallus
From what I have pieced together he defo won't be parted with them until 2019 (or can't be parted). With the feel good factor around just now it would be nice if there was already a deal in place come the 1st of Jan for them to be sold to someone with alot of time on his hands, a wife on the board and £80 million in the bank...
skygod
Alan McLeish won't have a lot of time on his hands as QTS will be continuing to operate as a stand-alone with the same management. It will probably be the fifth anniversary of the debt write-off too rather than 1 January when the shares can be transferred. It will be interesting though to see who, if anyone, is prepared to meet MJ's terms. -
killiekosmos
Why should anyone bother to buy MJ's shares? That just gives him money. Surely it would be better to buy unissued shares from the club and put money into KFC rather than into MJ's pocket.

There wouldn't be enough unissued shares to make it worth your while. -

The more shares are hought the more diluted he becomes.

If what was reported at the time was correct, it's something like 5 yrs before AM can leave QTS & 3 yrs before PM can leave.
