Popular Post historyman
I met Kris Boyd today and had a chat with him for a good while. In these days where players are supposed to be so far removed from supporters and so guarded about what they say I found him to be very open and honest. He was happy to answer any question I asked him. It was really very interesting to talk to him about the club, various players, other clubs and the Scottish game in general. I will respect the confidentiality of the conversation but one thing I think it's safe to share is who was the best player he has played with at Kilmarnock. His answer was Eremenko. He said he just had to find space because he knew Eremenko would get the ball to him. A really nice guy and someone who has genuine feeling for the club. Doonhamer
I met Kris last week at the Park Hotel to hand over a cheque for money raised from a race night I held in my local pub in aid of his charity. He was very humble and genuinely passionate about doing what he can for those less fortunate. He has been taken aback by the support he has had from all those associated with the club, especially the fans. He didn’t expect to receive as much support so quickly. A genuine person, easy to talk to. I wished him every success for the season ahead and for his charity, which I will continue to support.
Mojike and Bod
Had the pleasure of meeting Kris Boyd at a charity do once. He was surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny.
Beaker71
The wife met him and few of the players when her work was at a night out. He sang the praises of Losa to the point he said he was the best he’d ever played with, and the guy was a genius! Kris spoke with all the folk in the party and was apparently a really normal and genuinely nice guy.
a1killiefan
Was always impressed how Boyd conducted himself when he first transferred to Oldco. He was upfront about where he wanted to go, didn't go down the transfer request route ala Naismith. His donation to the youth set-up from his signing on fee was class as well.

Jamsie
Isn't Kris Boyd a fat, lazy, Sevco loving, wage stealing, useless b*stard? Could've swore I read that somewhere? Edited June 16, 2018 by Jamsie -

fraz65
Where were all the "Kris Boyd is a great guy" posts when he wasn't scoring or playing regularly? Did his personality improve in line with his return to form? -
historyman
Where were all the "Kris Boyd is a great guy" posts when he wasn't scoring or playing regularly? Did his personality improve in line with his return to form? I had never met him before so I've no idea what his personality was like. However, I would hazard a wild guess that it was exactly the same.

Scouser2
Will be interesting to see the fitness / shape of Boyd (and others) after a pre season under our current Management team ...than the rumoured often relaxed and disorganised one under McCulloch...

He was on Sky Sports News on Friday after the fixtures were announced, he looks as though he's been taking care of himself during the summer break.
Beaker71
IMO I reckon all the players would’ve been given some personalised training and eating plans over the summer. Cannot see this as something being left to chance by our management team these days.

I watched a few pre season sessions under McCulloch at the Irvine sports club last year and they looked no different to what anature clubs do. -
