gdevoy
The people who voted to leave the EU did so, l am guessing largely, based on the idea that it was a simple choice like do we stay in the house or go outside. Now we are faced with the multiple complexities of being outside the EU like what do we do about Ireland, how will we live for the ten years or so it will take to set up new trade deals. Surely the brutal reality that the government has no clue whatever about how to withdraw from EU membership without multiple train crashes must make all but the most ideologically driven want to pause for thought.

Not exactly what one might expect from an "opposition" leader. I don't know whether his complete disregard for public opinion on this issue will come back to bite him up the bum but it seems there is nobody to represent the very large group of the UK population who are upset that when the referendum was held the government did not actually have a plan in the event of a "leave" vote. P.S. they still don't. I'm not pleased, not pleased in the least with Corbyn on this. Listens to the membership when it suits him. -

RAG
I usually listen to QT on the radio, however this week, despite Brexit coming to the crunch this coming weekend, the build up was utterly trivial. Suspiciously trivial you could say when Brexit and the Tory government are 48 hours from a car crash! Deal? No deal? No-one will care if England get to the semi finals tomorrow anyway..

Scooter
...to be replaced by Alan B'stard Jr.! This is effectively a vote of no confidence in the PM. "What's the requirements of my job? I don't need to be very clever, I don't have to know that much, I just need to be calm, hahaha" Well he lived up to that, as do most of these Tory charlatans. RAG
With Wimbledon and the WC this is the ideal week to bury some bad news - no better chance before March 2019 than now. This is a lose/lose situation for May. There's no deal that will suit the Brexiteers and the EU. So you can expect a no deal in 2019, or a General Election BEFORE we know the fine detail of Brexit. But Corbyns not run out of steam just yet, so a GE would be a risky strategy. If they wait and have a GE after a no deal Brexit that's hit folk in the pocket, the Tories will lose that you'd think - so they may go for another 5 year term before March 2019 - heading off calls for a 2nd referendum. Boris has said nothing so far. The Tories govern. Remember too, the UK public has historically had a habit of kicking out governments that win wars. Brexits obviously not a war but there's no tangible positive short term outcome that's gonna come from Brexit. Thus is you look a British Governments that mess with the geopolitical European system, in a national effort, they almost always get punished at the polls, cos the day to day outcome, doesn't match the years of national effort put into getting it. Like fighting wars, there's better things to do with your life than the hassle of leaving the EU.

RAG
Just now, Scooter said: Unless you take out French citizenship or move all your assets to Belize. When the pound tanks they're popping champagne bottles! Aye but that's why the Tories will make you think they're a shambles when they have a different "govern" agenda. You're bang on about the champagne corks, can you imagine Crobyn banging on about that in a GE after Brexit? You can bet you're boots Corbyn will toe the Tory line "in the national interest" until Brexit happens They'll be a GE before the corks get popped and we'll sleepwalk into a no deal. The ERM busted the Major government, but that took 5 years. There's a whole other level of shambles we need to get to before the Tories are shambolic by there own standards in government. This is just cleverly managed chaos or propaganda we're being fed, is very similar to media management in wartime.
