Need to not only top the group but be one of the 4 best group winners to be seeded in next round....likely need to win all next 3 whilst building decent goal difference....

Reckon we have goals in us if we take the game to opponents.

Why have the shootout for a bonus point if things are still determined on goal difference. Take the bonus point away and say if teams finish level on points that will be used as a head to head. Spartans have gone out and got two cracking results but find themselves three points behind the group leaders who’ve only picked up a draw and a win compared to Spartans two draws. We could win our next three games go unbeaten in the group and still finish second despite St Mirren drawing their opening two games.

Does 3 wins and a draw with a penalty loss beat 2 wins and 2 draws with penalty wins ?

Anyone know the hierarchy?  Head to head, goal difference, wins, yellow cards?

Looks like we'll go top if we win last two games

And the best 4 winners seeded along with the 4 clubs involved in Europe, touch and go if 10pts will be enough for this.

After looking at the tables, all seven of the other groups have a team that can exceed our 10pts so it would need a lot of results going our way to join the top seeds.

Think I’m right in saying there are nine teams left who could pass ten points and win their groups. Ten points and hopefully a few goals should see us through as group winners but seeded probably out of reach. Would rather be in our position than that of Hamilton and Hearts at the moment.

Yep! 9 teams could get more points (although only seven could top their groups) and 3 could equal our 10pts.

Possible 12pts

Ross County, ICT. Dunfermline, Ayr or Partick & Queen of the South

Possible 11pts

Alloa, St Johnstone, & Livingston

Possible 10pts

Motherwell, St Mirren & Brechin

So 10points as group winners would probably be the same overall result as 10pts in 2nd place.
