killieboy
Mad that a few people here wanted to avoid Ayr. Regardless of their form vs Partick, Morton, Stenny and Albion Rovers we should never not want to play them and never be fearing them. We were in a different place when we got beat off them last time round at Scumerset! Will take Rangers all day over Aberdeen, Hibs or Celtic!

I thought the SPFL had a mass conspirCy against the currant buns so surely our game will be live on BT Sport on the Friday night 24 hours after their Europa League match. Fudger
How much do BT us for this game? Is the TV and entry money split with it being a cup game?
killie billies pal
I believe it is in the region of £100k each team, that plus half the gate money after expenses should allow us to be more flexible in the English Loan market

Gate money will be split, after expenses. Last season, a televised match was worth £12,000 per club in the group stage, £21,500 after that, except the final which was £32k each.
killie billies pal
What? We were getting £60k each about ten years ago?
killie billies pal
If that’s the case make it £25 a ticket
Fudger
Criminal when you think how much they pay for English football!
KillieDIV
9000 fans at £20 a ticket plus the TV money will net us ~£100k. Pretty decent amount given the transfer window will still be open.

piffer
£21k doesn’t seem like a lot especially if our home attendances have dropped for games against the OF at home at £20+ a ticket. Out of interest how much expense is there in a football game. Say we got an attendance of 12k at £25 a ticket. That comes in about £300k. What goes out in expenses before we split it with Sevco? Police, Security, food, staffing, electricity?

Don't know but each club in the Carabao Cup receives 45% of the gate, so 10% might be a good guess. The prize money for the Carabao Cup is pish, btw. £100k for the winners, £50k runners up, £25k losing semi-finalists and dribbling on down. If we lose in this round, we would get £35k in last season's money. I think there is no chance the admission will be £25 - would kill the gate receipts. League Cup admission is always less than the league so £20, even £15, more likely, I think. Edited July 30, 2018 by skygod
