Ken T
"My belief and that of the majority of people with a good knowledge of football" - loved that bit, this is a guy with 35+ years at the very top level compared with faceless nodding donkeys somehow sitting on a panel. Great the club is not putting up with this nonsense anymore. If MJ was still chair he would have sacked him for gross insubordination!
stumack
I'll help pay his fine if he gets one. A tremendous statement. Surely given the complete ineptitude of the sfa they have to follow through and respond.

Popular Post Bullitt
Paying for his fine by supporters would add further exposure for the farcical decision and give us more press. Also it will show SSC that he has the backing from us all.
Bbk
As has been said we now have not only a leader but a person who will by this statement also have the backing of all the other Scottish managers with his assessment of the dark ages system of the appeals process in our game well done SC and if there is any karma wee wullie will have a total nightmare on Sunday!

It is a great statement, he's a great statesman, and he should be rewarded so.

Nobody
Will have the book thrown at him by those "big men" at the SFA for having the temerity to utter these words
Killie1970
Steve Clarke has shown utter class with that statement. I'm pretty sure that fans of the majority of other clubs will 100% support what the gaffer said. Subtle and straight to the point.
bute-killiefan
The players watching this know that they have the FULL backing of their manager, who in turn has the full backing of his board. These are good times to be a killie fan

casual observer
I can’t see any reason or likelihood of any charge being brought against Clarke or Killie. He voiced an opinion without bringing the game into disrepute but a process within the SFA’s disciplinary code. They’ll ignore it.

Which is the exact opposite of what they will look should they have a go at him. This was a very very carefully and well thought out statement which will have had legal review before it’s utterance. we are dealing with real class here and the SFA will be ill advised to have a go. i sit next to three sheep fans and when I showed them it they were seriously impressed. Subtle but straight to the crux of the matter, professional but very sharp. this wasn’t a Kenny Sheils passionate shot from the hip. SC only does calculated.
Sp3ckyh0td0g81
and so the drivel begins Sutherland you Sir are a slabber cabbage Sportscene presenter Jonathan Sutherland The fact the ruling was upheld suggests the panel felt the player did not demonstrate an obvious error had been made. So this is a big statement from Steve Clarke. The judicial panel that ruled on the Dicker appeal - as with all cases like this - is independent of the Scottish FA. It's also a process backed by all the clubs. So why would those three individuals on the independent panel take into account Willie Collum's next match as part of their ruling on Dicker's red card? That might be a tough one to justify.
Corporal Clegg
Sutherland should read the statement before stating that his comment would be hard to justify as SSC clearly states that it his 'perception' and that of 'many others'. The key word Sutherland in there is peceception - it's how it looks when you are not part of the process. For me, that is an observation that he has every right to make.

"the player did not demonstrate an obvious error had been made" - one of the main points made was that no-one was allowed to make a case that an error had been made and Sutherland just totally misses this.
