He is alot quicker off his line than Macdonald, never really tested, but handled 99% of things well. Take a wee bit off his kicks lol

Said this today too - and he commands his 18 yard box a lot more convincingly.

Jamie Mac doesn't do much wrong, and possibly didn't deserve to lose his spot - but Bachman has been excellent, so you can't argue the decision!

Jamie McDonald has been great for us - and might be again - but his form dipped and he lost his place. That’s healthy.

Bachmann has taken his chance. He looks solid and impressive although I’d like to see how he reacts the way McDonald does under pressure, making vital saves.

We really are lucky to have two quality keepers able to be in contention for a starting place every game at present nice headache for SC to have!

He’s build a good 18 on a thin budget, strengthening the right areas.

It was a big failing of Kenny Shiels. He was doing well but overloaded in some positions, ignoring others.

If Steve Clarke has got lucky with one thing I’d say it’s centre back. We are short.

Agree with all bar the last part.

Scott Boyd has barely put a foot wrong when he's been called on to step in for either Broadfoot or Findlay - and not only that, he seems content to slip back onto the bench when not needed. And if SB got injured, Dicker could fall back into that role.

I think he’s been lucky that, only having 3 CBs, no injuries have coincided.

I’m less convinced Clarke sees Dicker as cover...

Daniel Bachmann is a big strong commanding keeper that controls the penalty box and doesn't get pushed around by attackers at corners.

He looks a solid shot stopper and is brave as shown today diving at the feet of the Hibs attacker flying at him full speed. He collected the ball and saved a dangerous situation as a result.

Jamie is a good keeper but this guy has the edge I think .

I sound like a broken record but you need four specialist CBs.

We have three and an untested one out on loan.

SC will only use Dicker there in an absolute emergency, I feel. Wilson is nowhere to be seen at the moment so he’s unlikely to get thrown in - it’s not the way SC works.

Anyone who thinks we’re sound should ask themselves how they would feel if we dropped points because Broadfoot’s was suspended and Findlay injured.

Bachmann looks okay but I’d like to see how he gets on next week, if selected.

With regards to Wilson look at SSC comments relating to Ross Millen and I am sure he will look to Ross as an inspiration to other fringe players. As has been said many a time standards have risen and I am sure that SSC has raised the standards of some mediocre players and overall the general standards expected. Slightly different topic but a few players this week (Findlay and SOD) have said that SSC doesnt ask players to do what he doesnt think they are capable of. I suspect with my limited football coaching knowledge that Gerrard perhaps asks too much of his players by asking them to do things they are not capable of doing and feels they have let him down when they cannot do as he has asked. He expects them to do what he and his colleagues could do in a decent Liverpool team.Of course Gerrard has threatened to get rid but that may not be possible for a club with no money?
