Squirrelhumper
Any link to him saying that? Never heard him mentioning supporting a Scottish side, ever.

Jedi2
Am pretty certain it was in a newspaper article several years ago...(and no the info didn't come from Follow Follow), basically that, his 'team of interest' in Scotland had been Celtic.

They honestly don’t understand why everybody hates them. The sooner their sham of a club dies for good and every one of the cretins that supports them is deported to Norn Iron or England - where they belong - the better.

Jedi2
Both newspaper and TV interview...don't have them 'to hand' though, no. Fact remains that Celtic as a club have been heavily represented in the upper echelons of the SFA and League...Lawwell currently appears to hold a fair bit of sway as well.
fraz65
You could analyse penalties awarded to SPL teams, adjusted for possession in the final third of the pitch and average points per match. A crude measurement but as good as anything else to confirm or refute this theory. Can you imagine how good Celtic would be if all of these major decisions didn't go against them? Presumably European refs are in on the action too given their dismal recent record in that arena. Not as well represented as Sevco were with Campbell Ogilvie and Gordon Smith. How could Ogilvie ever investigate the use of EBT's when he was dishing them out and had one himself? He knew where all the bodies were buried and never spilled the beans. A totally disgusting and immoral chancer.
Jedi2
Wouldn't dispute the fact that Rangers have had 'influence' at the top level as well, and of course the cover up of EBTs was a disgrace. However, only one club constantly claim that there is an 'agenda' against them,, only one club put out the type of video which prompted the OP, only one club's fans have produced three full books about the agenda and the decisions which have gone against them.

Aw well that it gospel then. (as is his brother who is a Professor of Irish history iirc) was the line that sounded like it was right out of follow follow. What relevance has that?
