Watched Dunfermline - Dundee tonight. Kevin Nisbet looks a right good player.

The kind of player a club like us should track and target if we have the correct scouting network.

Absolutely. Banged them in last season for Raith. There’s some real talent in the lower divisions. Nisbet’s movement and striking instinct are impressive.

Also fashioned things for himself which with the lack of a creative midfielder is what we need in a striker

Inter youth team striker Facundo Colidio is reportedly on the verge of joining Newcastle United, although Leeds United are also interested.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Colidio is close to the Magpies on loan with option to buy, although Inter would retain a counter-option too.

Leeds remain on the outskirts ready to pounce if there should be any hiccups in negotiations.

Colidio is 19 years old and joined Inter from the Boca Juniors academy in the summer of 2017 for €9.5m.

This season, the Argentina Under-20 international scored 12 goals with six assists in 31 competitive games for the Inter Primavera youth team.

That included five goals in five UEFA Youth League games against Tottenham, PSV Eindhoven and Barcelona

The only manager since JJ to have a coherent long-term transfer policy was Lee McCulloch.

Bugger. Alex must have tipped his old boy off that colidio was about to come here on loan. Shame...

Agreed. There is a real skill to identifying players who will make a longer term contribution and/or bring in a fee in due course.

I do think Kenny Shiels had a recruitment policy - bringing through young players - but the environment wasn’t right.

It really is annoying we haven’t strengthened the squad yet my only highlight was seeing Alex dyer out running yesterday and I peeped the horn and got a wave I was chuffed to bits

Be honest how far did you follow him and was it really a chance passing?
