Think of it in terms of being responsible for your actions.

The fans did something they know they shouldn't.

It's cost the club a fine.

They now realise they've hurt the club financially.

So they (and the folk defending them) should do the proper thing and offer to pay the fine, or at least a part of it.

What's so wrong with that?

I was in the end where the 'smoke' bomb, lighter and Jamie Mac lover were at. The smoke lasted less that 3 minutes and didn't even waft to the penalty spot or affect Jamie. The lighter or vape that was chucked was out of order and the Nomads goalie reacted to that as well as kicking off royal at the taunts. The way the goalie did react could have been taken worse by our fans as he was going mental. The big fella that ran and cuddled Jamie Mac didn't protest when the security guys checked him and Jamie never looked in danger. It all was over-exuberance and possibly/hopefully a one-off. IMO, a reprimand at the absolute most should be penalty enough if the culprit/s are found. But if our fans get charged, the Nomads goalie should receive a similar punishment.

What a sensible post.

We came back to Chester after the game and were refused entry to a bar opposite our hotel.

The "excuse" was that Kilmarnock fans had caused bother the night before at his other bar and we weren't getting in.

No point in arguing. We just went to another bar.

Talk of banning folk is way over the top. Disappointed a fine is coming our way, but those are the rules. Put it down to youthful exuberance and we learn our lessons and move on.

Exactly.

The fine isn't ideal and shouldn't be happening but it will be a couple of grand maximum so it's hardly as though we are going to go bust due to it.

To be fair that was probably us. Apparently a 30-40 man pub crawl round Chester on Wednesday night wasn’t what the local All Bar One and Off The Wall were expecting. There wasn’t any trouble but they didn’t like the singing much.

So I say to @Gaz of the 20/20 @Squirrelhumper @Bullitt and all who have defended this persons action please put your hands in you pockets and pay any fine that is coming the way of the club.

Folk need to wrap this patter, fed up of seeing the same thing said again and again.

You virtue signalling about how much of a good person you are for not being involved with the smokebomb and trying to castigate random folk on an internet forum, who most likely also had f**k all to do with it, just because they have a different opinion to you really doesn't help matters, so what is the point in it?

The club will pay the fine, it's s**te. In an ideal world it would not have happened and hopefully it doesn't again but it's not the end of the world and like it or lump it these things happen at big games.

Was not at the game. They may not have had anything to do with it but to claim it was "youthful excuberance" is giving the culprit the plaudits they are looking for. No its not the end of the world but by excusing it makes more of the "youthful excuberant" think they can do as they please as the club will pay the fine.

Maybe you would like to pay the fine as you have appeared to justify his actions as being part and parcel of big games or "adding to the atmosphere" .

Brilliant, you've just repeated the exact same thing yet again and completely and utterly missed the point I tried to make.

So Gaz, SH and Bullitt when we arranging this whip round?

Bollocks.

You've missed the point and you're trying to defend the indefensible.

The point is that they should take responsibility for their actions.

Ideally they should pay up for their own mistake. Absolutely. Why should the club pay for it?

That's probably not going to happen  though, is it? Brave enough to bring a smoke bomb/throw a lighter but not brave enough to take responsibility.

So, the best we can hope for is that the next time they try to do something daft which will cost the club money, maybe they or their pals will think twice.

Dont worry. The 20/20 boys said its sound. The club will cough up for them.
