Killie wanderer
I know it’s the least of our problems tonight what was your view on the new pitch? Personally thought it looked worse than last seasons
KillieDIV
Very wet was my only impression.

melly
Looked poor from visual perspective and seemed to be far to wet.
Silent Bob
A lot of passes were short especially second half. Dunno if that was the pitch or not but seemed unusual to be so many.

piffer
Far too wet. There was still water spraying up after the warm up it didn’t need further water pre match. Then again at half time. Players were slipping too often. I’m probably wrong but with the way some of the tackles were going in it was making it dangerous as well
funky monkey
The players seemed to lose their footing on it and the ball held up pretty badly, despite the pitch being over watered.
Northernsoul
Slow as a week in the jail. Yeti must go. Angelo tae.
muza1962
It was ok for a part time pub team! -
MarkyMark
I wonder if the preparation of the pitch was part of the issue with the result tonight. It looked over watered and the ball wasn’t running properly in the first half. It was them watered again at half time so the problem continued. Made it easier for CQN to disrupt play.
Pedro'sBrither
We've invested in a fancy sprinkler system so it MUST be used. Will probably use it in winter for a laugh
FTAD
In training the pitch looked to be running far far too fast. In competition the pitch ran far too slow. Felt like it needed watered and then once it had the entire Firth of Clyde tipped on it it looked too heavy. Hey ho.

Seems like basic stuff surely.
Killie1984
Well they had a carry on with the sprinkler at half time. That seems pretty amateur when it could affect the game
Fankle
New pitch, new sprinkler system, new management team, not the best timing for such an important game. Should still have had enough about us to get through.
Wee_Eck1979
I hope it’s just teething problems getting used to the new surface and setting it up to suit us over our opponents. Saying that I couldn’t understand why the pitch was watered again at half time when it was clearly not suiting us and too many players falling/slipping on the surface with the amount of standing water. IMO it needed the groundstaff out brushing water off the pitch rather than putting more onto it at half time.
carpetfitter
That surface was atrocious. Was it the pitch itself or the fact that it was heavily over watered? Can’t say yet. The fact the ball moved so slowly certainly compounded our pedestrian passing.
NorfolkG
They gallons of water was insanity and clearly affected the speed of passing.
jock
Thought the pitch looked fabulous...almost like a bowling green...the Nomads had absolutely no difficulties whatsoever playing football on it...
Kanyon
Nothing wrong with the pitch and the ball moved perfectly fine on it. People looking desperately for something other than the players to blame.
Sp3ckyh0td0g81
pitch looked worlds apart from last season lets be clear pitch was not the issue

Lroy
Pitch was an issue, but not because it was poor. Players weren't reading the bounce and speed of it. They've obviously not trained on it very much. Knowing how it plays should be an advantage.
