Calummoore86
https://kilmarnockfc.co.uk/news/slovenian-goalkeeper-jan-koprivec-joins-killie/ Kilmarnock Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Jan Koprivec on a one-year deal, subject to international clearance. The 31-year-old brings a wealth of experience to Killie having represented Slovenia as well as club experience in both Italy and Cyprus. In competition with Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and Inter Milan’s Samir Handanovic, Jan made his senior international debut in November 2016 against Poland. Jan started his career with Cagliari before moving to Udinese. It was during a loan spell in 2011/12 with Bari where he played with current Killie assistant coach Massimo Donati. A spell with Perugia followed before the shot stopper moved to Cyprus, firstly with Anorthosis Famagusta and then Pafos. Speaking to the club website, Jan said a conversation with Slovenian team-mate Andraz Struna helped convince him of the move. He said: “The opportunity to join Kilmarnock is a really exciting one and I’ve heard good things about the club and Scottish football. “I know Massimo from my time in Italy and I can’t wait to get started here.” Edited September 10, 2019 by Calummoore86

killie89
Well that came out of nowhere! Seems to have good experience and has played at a decent level. If MacDonald has indeed been blabbing to journalists about being unhappy then its for the best.

Or the gaffer isn't willing to let people go running to the media or spreading negativity without any consequences, and quite rightly so.

Fletch
If Macdonald isn't happy then he's as well going elsewhere. Hopefully he doesn't put the boot in on the way out the door like Broadfoot and Kiltie. I realise he was coming in from a prolonged period without football but he didn't look good in the European games. Goalie sounds of a decent standard. Cap for Slovenia. An interesting signing, doesn't sound like the type to come in and want to sit on the bench all season. NorfolkG
Good pedigree. Not sure he’s here to bench warm.

steve101
If it has to be that Jamie leaves, he's been a good servant, and we thank him for his efforts. This keeper looks to have good pedigree. Been a while since we had a goalie born in the SFYR!

charlie1
I was at club shop at 13 30 ish and seen AA & MD with a tall guy but never gave it any thought about a new signing .
mitch14
A signing from nowhere. Link through Donati. I'm enjoying this bizarre new market we are shopping in. I said in the other thread that seemed fairly deliberate from MacDonald in the Parks interview, looks like he's got his wish.

I wonder how long it will be till Macdonald is selling Herbalife.
DG5
McDonald. Will have to get released from his contract to move anywhere at the moment. Its the 3rd time he has been overlooked by managers while with us. So the writing is on the wall .For him.

You need to be released before the window closes to register for another club. I've never been 100% sure if it's the window of the club you're leaving or going to, so maybe if there is a window still open in some country somewhere then he could go there. Certainly couldn't go to the likes of Livingston or something on a free though.

Will be interesting to see if AA sticks with Barenscu short term since he’s been fine or he just drops to the bench as he’s a loan.

Popular Post carpetfitter
Looks like Jamie is offski when regulations/contact situation permits. He was very good for us during a bad period in our recent history. We should remember that. He also go called up to a Scotland squad....although today might not be the best day to emphasise that as a positive. Welcome Jan.
