Nigel4
The question was asked on Off the Ball on Saturday about what 1 of your former managers would you take in your team's squad right now as a player. I never heard any Killie answers come in so thought I'd stick it on here. We've had quite a few managers who were very good players in their day; Burns, Williamson, Mixu, Johnston, Clark, McCulloch, Clarke, Alessio and probably the older supporters will add more to that list. I think right now I'd have to go for Mixu. I think he'd be the answer to our striker problems just now

heynow2005
Tommy Burns 1, never saw him play in person but from videos etc he was class. Allan Johnston would be that creative player with the eye for a killer pass also we seem to lack at the min
BigD'sGingerLorry
Did they not say that it had to be a manger who had never played for the club when they were a player? I would pick Jimmy McGrory obviously.

I guess McCulloch qualifies under this criteria then given his 20 minute cameo performance v Ross County
NorfolkG
Lee Clark and I’d stick him right back.
Pompey Repatriated
If they have to have not played for us (pardon the grammar) then Steve Clarke seems obvious choice. Mixu was a good shout too
FanWithaTypewritter
One for the veterans amongst us....Eddie Morrison. A prolific goalscorer that would have scored a barrel load in any era.

TLC
Of those I have any recollection of as players, big Mixu. Going further back, I’m sure Jimmy McGrory would help out with our goal scoring issues.
fraz65
I'm surprised that everyone has overlooked former Juventus midfielder Angelo Alessio.

Technically Durrant did manage the first half of JJ's first game in charge I suppose.

PrestersKtid
Any Killie manager then i'd take Burns all day, Creativity is what we're crying out for. Otherwise For managers that haven't played for Killie, i would take Mixu right now. Great striker in his day, especially in scottish top flight. Some cracking players in our former manageres
