PaulMcQ
Deal till January. No risk and provides a short term option. Works for me.
Scouser2
Good luck to him and glad that we have brought in cover given the current injury issues over Brophy and others --- Deal seems very short term -- wonder if there is an option to extend it to at least end of the season ---gives the player an incentive to prove himself Would like to see at least another quality forward signing come January too Edited October 17, 2019 by Scouser2

NorfolkG
Sensible. I think at the end of the season we will reflect on Jackson and Sow being good signings.

Jackson must have impressed on trial to be offered a deal as there's been a few trialists in and out without deals, including Tim Vayrynen who's scored 4 in 12 for HJK, hopefully Jackson will do well, he's always been a handful when I've seen him.
WWWWnnnnnn!
Short term deals are great for players out of contract, giving them the incentive to earn a bigger contract. Getting Sow up to scratch for United's promotion push would be s**te though. -
AyrshireCocard
Was he the number 1 choice at the time for St Mirren? -

Still think we need more of a target man up front but hopefully Jackson comes up with the goods. -

St Mirren fans seemed a bit miffed when he left as he's better than anyone they currently have. One I heard from today said he is a handful, links up well with midfield, although lacks the pace a wee bit which he once had. Hopefully he scores a barrowload and McLean can bring up my "Jesus Wept" reply until eternity. -
