January transfer

Will a established (name) striker sign for Alex dyer? It’s a genuine question. Will they care about who they are working for or just the club and money? I can’t think the prospect of working with Alex dyer to be as compelling as joining up with warnock or clement or even holt. Do we have to accept that we are naturally limiting our transfer targets through the appointment if Alex?

That is a fair point but Motherwell, Hamilton and Falkirk have had tremendous success, St Mirren as well although to a lesser degree.

We should not be light years behind these teams but it seems we are.

Falkirk scrapped there's .Motherwell haven't sold any one of note recently though Turnball would have went for money if he had passed the medical .Morgan from St Mirren was an infirm cast off ( was McGinn not one too ) .Hamilton is a mystery to me .They seem to have a couple of decent prospects at the moment .Aberdeen seem to do well over the years McKenna and Jack come to mind but lose Shankland for nothing

Falkirk did scrap theirs. Which was lunacy. Fulton, Kingsley, Sibbald, McGrandles and there are others too. Players going to a good level, bringing in money.

Motherwell haven’t sold anyone recently but Campbell and Turnbull are key players for them. Both will get very good fees. Scott too. And Maguire likely in due course.

St Mirren have brought through guys like Naismith, McPherson, McAllister, the McGinns and McLean.

The level of player other comparable teams have brought through in the past 5 or so years is night and day. Some were released by old firm, some were through their own ranks. Either way, the players absolutely are there.

The youth team for us should give us team players as well as the odd transfer fee.

Hearts may go for it, but the sheep wont until we are interested, which is the MO of mcinnes.

If either are interested then we cant compete wage wise.

Aye that’s how Aberdeen sign their players, wait n see who Killie are in for and sign them. Ridiculous statement.
