Surely it is possible to take a hit on somebody like Kennedy who's family comes from Ayrshire. We can't compete with Aberdeen for wages but we can offer regular games and possibly a longer contract. Somebody who can make/score goals is a priority.

Kennedy seemingly takes injections for a knee issue and therefore the pitch means it's a no go.

If he has a knee issue then we can't risk paying over the odds for him. Thought the pitch was meant to be as good as grass but I guess that isn't the case.

Another crock at Aberdeen. Racking my brains to think of a time McInnes didn't sign someone with long term injuries or underlying conditions.

Pleasing indeed.

It's all about opinions with the pitch, plenty of scientific studies prove no higher risk playing on modern artificial surfaces to grass. We didn't have a lot of injuries in last 2 seasons either. Broadfoot was out a bit but it was for head knocks.

With the squad that is available "at the moment" it is interesting to compare with McCullochs last game in charge when we were in also in a sticky position.
The defence looks fairly similar with (excluding Findlay being injured), two old hands in Greer and Bruce. Up front also very similar but Jones pace helped as opposed to Burkes work rate and skill. The midfield now is much more experienced and defensive minded than back in 2017 which is probably why we are only losing to the odd goal (but not scoring many). With Millar now recalled and a possible loss of O'Donnell, if Branescu, Del Fabro or Hamalainen are recalled by the parent club we are really threadbare. I am not sure of McDonald, Kiltie and Watters have been recalled but surely they would be seen as squad players and not regular starters.

If AD, Fowler and the board think that 2 players are going to turn our season around it will need to be Messi and Ronaldo.

McDonald                       Branescu
O'Donnell                        O'Donnell
Findlay                            Del Fabro
Greer                              Bruce
Taylor                              Hamalainen

Watters (Boyd 46)             Dicker
Hawkshaw                        Power
Frizzell                              El Makrini

Jones                               Burke
Erwin (Brophy 71)            Brophy
Thomas                           Thomas

Subs Not Used:                 Subs:
Bell                                  Koprivec
Broadfoot``                     Johnson
Power                            Barlow
Burke                              Wilson
Spencer                          McKenzie
                                       Millen

Players would rather play on grass than astro all day long. It doesn't directly cause any more injuries than grass parks but the effects on players carrying knocks or recurring injuries are far more wearing.

It will (and has) put some players off signing for us.

Signing Bunn would make sense with Millar leaving. We don't really have many options on the left side now.

He definitely fits what Fowler had said about trying to bring in guys at the right age/stage of their career.
