We have rookie manager at this level, a rookie Head of Football, a disastrous summer transfer window, a disastrous exit from Europe, a team who have lost 5 league games in a row, no (zero, zilch) goals in the same time, smallest squad in the league, 150th anniverary non event.

It's taking the club long time to learn from the mistakes.

Not much you can disagree with there.

Depressing how much we've made an absolute arse of the last 7 months.

It was publicised back in August, BB agreed a loan from HSBC for over £1m to cover the cost of upgrading the Hotel.

The hotel should be meeting the repayments from profits, so, yes, the hotel will pay for itself.....

Billy Bowies done well out of it a hotel that should cover his investment and more

Just read Dyers latest interview.

Sticking by the "needing 1 or 2"

Hope this is just a cover and doesn't want to let on the current players aren't cutting it

The interview just sounds like a rehash of the interview he did from last week. There’s so little news coming from us the media are having to reuse old interviews to report something

Rangers are facing competition from their former manager in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, according to a report in England.

Conor Gallagher has been excellent this season - he won't be coming our way.

I don't know how this sits with Gerrard's quotes today about Jones coming into contention.

Just needing 1 or 2 more to leave before we can’t even fill a bench. With five ?players contracted for next season. 4 players on loan and over ten out of contract in June it’s very concerning. Even our manager is out of contract in June. We have the coach of the old manager as our assistant.

The fall from grace has been unbelievable. The amount of mismanagement to get to this stage in such a short period after our best seasons in 50 years. You couldn’t write it.

The board can take plaudits when we do well and they deserve pelters just now. Not commemorating a massive 150th anniversary. Coming out with wild comments about having best manager in Scotland then get beaten from a welsh pub team. Since that result it’s been totally downhill. Along with the shambles of the ticket saga and our reluctance to sign any decent players. Fowler has been brought in as I assume the board realised they have no idea about football.  He is now to be in charge of signings and take the fall if all goes wrong.

I had a read at Dyers interview. How does a player buy into what we are trying to do when we don’t have a clear identity.

The one or two isn’t sitting well. We needed more than that before four left. Hopefully it’s just a figure of speech trying not to make us look desperate.

Not quite what he said... sounds more like he wants a couple of forwards plus others.

Dyer, who had been the assistant at the club initially under Steve Clarke and then Angelo Alessio , has made it clear where he needs to strengthen the squad this month.

He said: “We need to bring one or two in, without a doubt we need to have a more potent strike force.

He also says later on....

“We have quality in areas I’m happy with and there are one or two where we need to bring players in.

He's not going to say we need 5/6 players is he. That pushes prices up and it hits the confidence of your own players. Doesn't matter where the teams confidence is atm. What is said in the media and what is said behind closed doors is night and day.

Our identity since Clarke has always been be compact and hard to beat first then try to pick teams off. He said we are going to try get back to that.

Seems a bit of a contradiction. Anytime he’s been asked how many he wants the most he’s said is three.

Still a better option than Jackson or Sow

Undoubtedly. The fact that Motherwell are looking at him and not Jackson or Sow tells it’s own story.
I doubt very much we beat any other teams to their signatures. Neither could be described as a signing coup. Signing a coo is probably more accurate

Recruitment is the lifeblood of a club like ours and it needs to be treated as the no1 priority, from the top down either playing or non playing and it just feels really amateurish just now.

The appointments of JF and AD both sound like they’ve been handled as if they are volunteers and only Karen Costello seems to have been given the job because she has experience in football operations and registering players etc, and we’ve not managed to get much use out of that so far.
