Jedi2
What would do now if Kabamba and Brophy both get injured at the same time? Only other 'forward' at the club is Cameron. Or is there some masterstroke to play Harry Bunn up front? Quite honestly, an amateur team would have more than two strikers in their squad, let alone a Premiership side. The other two we had in Sow and Jackson admittedly looked pretty useless, so we let them go, but with absolutely no plan to strengthen that area of the team. As others have said, the issue with Broadfoot isn't even whether or not he can do a job for us...he probably can until the end of the season, but to leave such a massive hole in the most important area of the team-scoring goals, is incredible. As far as the creative midfielder is concerned, Kiltie might or might not add something there, but at the end of the day he was already part of the squad, so certainly isn't a 'new' player. Money has clearly been directed into infrastructure-the hotel, the bar, some stadium improvements, and kept away from the playing squad. Bin one manager who was presumably on decent money and give it to a guy who I would imagine is being paid less. If Michael Johnston had been in charge over the last 6 months there would have been outrage...up until now the current board have hardly been questioned by comparison.
Bbk
Saturday 1st February 2020 and we have a massive game today against Ross County so whatever your emotions and disappointments in all this are we all need to remember first and foremost that WE as supporters of this great club have to come together as one and show that off the field that many of us are going to be around rugby park for a lot longer than many of the players ,manager or even the directors because together WE ARE KILLIE no matter how much we are hurting!

I'm not saying it's right, but rangers only had two strikers. Both got injured so they went and got Kamberi.

malcr0
Disappointing window to say the least. Traditionally a difficult window for most clubs. I think we were outbid on specific targets by other clubs. Not unusual as we can’t compete with any of the city clubs as they generally have larger attendances and hence deeper pockets. More worrying if we are now seeing this from a team like Motherwell who are a similar size. Can only hope we pick up decent free agents, extended contacts for our better players and have a plan(s) for the summer.
Pompey Repatriated
While disappointing from a fans view, Dyer must genuinely believe the squad is good enough. Let's hope to God he's right!

If we don’t have any money because it has been squandered away somehow then we were probably only trying to get short term deals done which would have limited us a fair bit. Smells like we’re planning to try and scrape through this season and start with a blank slate next year. Depressing. We need to get behind them today though. A win is essential. Lose and we’re in deep trouble So if it's a rebuild job why give a 35 y/o crock an 18th month contract? We would have been better served loaning players in with no commitment, instead we will have to build around Broadfoot who won't be on peanuts knowing us. We will have a new squad to build in the summer, going by our last 2 windows we will struggle to field a team next season.

My guess would be we’ve just taken over what remained of his contract at St Mirren. Goodwin suggested that was the case. Pompey Repatriated
I wonder if part of the problem was SC making diamonds out of turds. Therefore the club don't think the playing side needs much investment?
