Ngonge88
Turned on BBC scotland tonight to find Kevin Kyle on it. Talking about how much James Fowler and him hated each other at kilmarnock which stemmed from him taking the captaincy from Fowler. Also how him n Sammon used to argue often. Kyle made himself sound like a total bad egg in the dressing room and possibly shows why a team with Bryson, Kelly, Taouil etc were down fighting relegation

carpetfitter
Scored goals that kept us up....but as others have said a tosser. Fowler v Kyle - backing James every time. Samson v Kyle - big Craig every time.
Harrogate Peter
I remember a Kyle v Sammon incident v St Johnstone at home. It was 2010, the Saturday before we played Falkirk and survived with the 0-0.We started well ended up 1-2 down and Sammon who had come on as a sub took a shot which was easily saved. KK ripped into him even though his run had been comfortably covered by a defender. Shot was a reasonable option. KK went crazy and I though it was arrogant and counterproductive. Not sorry we got rid that summer.
historyman
I was delighted to see him do so well at The Rangers. Certainly kept us up when he joined that season but wasn’t half as good as he thought he was.
DuncD
Kyle speaks his mind and is brutally honest which is refreshing. He isn’t bothered about making pals in the media or ruffling feathers.
DuncanEwart
He was a bit critical of Jack Ross and his time at Sunderland last night. He did not agree that Ross was unlucky in getting the sack- he felt he should have got Sunderland automatically promoted last season.

chubbs
Guy came in and did a job for us at a time we were really struggling .. can't fault him for that. What was the story with MJ and Kyle discussing JJ's tactics and stuff behind his back?
Fudger
He's normally very positive about his time with us when I've heard him. Hated MJ.
charlie1
Cant expect everyone in a workforce or team to get on so I dont see the problem with his comments. Quote

Agree with him on that .Sunderlands budget dwarfed the rest of the teams in the league. How was he going to manage promotion with a drastically cut budget if he couldn't when he had the biggest budget in the league by far

kenh
Meet him once on his way in to that Falkirk game and he had a whole bunch of bananas as a snack (energy boost) and he seemed an OK type of guy but as mentioned before I think we could have been relegated that season without his goals.

Tom061087
Kevin Kyle is one of the three mainstays on the open goal podcast along with Simon ferry and Paul slaine each week. although all 3 come across a bit set in their ways at times, I always enjoy the podcast and the stories they have to tell. Kyle certainly comes across as someone who speaks his mind, on several episodes he has really laid into Conor sammon, not for his personality but for his lack of ability but any bad blood between them would not be a great surprise. Not sure he’s ever really mentioned Fowler and he seems to worship JJ. Edited November 16, 2019 by Tom061087
Dieselfeet
Was there an interpreter present? Kyle can barely string two words together. Phud.
