This will effectively be QP last chance to take a big scalp before giving up their amateur status which is still in effect. We should be keeping a clean sheet and putting at least 4 past them on paper but the players had better be up for this as things are currently going bad at present on pitch and we don’t need an early cup exit on top of recent results.

Quite an ambitious move (or at least would've been viewed as such 12 months ago).

Guys like McKinnon and Hartley have to be applauded for dropping the divisions to stay in football. Danny Lennon as well. We’ve seen too many get to the top flight then start to think that’s their level and refuse to take anything below it when it all goes pear shaped. Not willing to try a step big in the hope of two forward.

Hartley dropped down thebkeagues because his missus is the owner's daughter!  Otherwise he would be nowhere near Cove.

McKinnon has turned a promising career into a clusterf**k because he picked the wrong clubs at the wrong time, and has little choice.

But if these guys actually learn how to coach properly they may just rescue once promising careers.

It’s a long way back on that path. A career in reverse.

Hartley did a great job at Alloa and picked up guys like Stewart, Boyle and Hemmings for Dundee. He has a decent enough track record.
McKinnon less so. He should have achieved more at Dundee Utd and Falkirk.

Saw Queens Park play Stenhousemuir yesterday..although they won, certainly 'should' be able to win this game in 2 weeks time.

Seems that due to their switch to pro-status that players aren't sure if they are being kept on, or not at the moment, and suspect that a lot of new faces will be brought in during this window.
