Fletch
I'd be interested if the Trust were to set up a supporters meeting with AD. It seems a lot of us have made snap judgements and it would be interesting to hear his view on where we are now and what his vision is going forward. We obviously all know him and know what he's all about but it might inspire a bit of confidence after January's dust settles. -
Scouser2
Good idea...maybe even have Fowler there too ..hopefully it won't have same impact that happened when AA came to last one ....and then was sacked few days later
piffer
I’d hold off until the window closes so we can see what they are now trying to do and where they want us to be heading

The Trust have to give their members and subscribers something for their contributions and meeting the manager was one. We agree with you that it would be good if the next one was open to all fans...how about it Jim Thomson? An "on board...in person" open to all the next time? Be good for those not involved to see what the benefits are and also to hear from our new manager at a time we need to pull together. Edited to say that’s if the manager is appearing at the next OBIP as the featured guest! Edited January 1, 2020 by baz

chubbs
I agree that the Trust have to organise events that give exclusivity or priority to members but, right now, it would be more beneficial for a meet the manager type event to be open to all.

The other 90 plus % deserve to meet the manager at any event .

PrestersKtid
Tbf Trust have about 650 Active members now. Decent slice of the support. the trust organised the meet the manager events, seems fair that trust members get first dibs. Tenner a year isn’t outrageous to get involved. if the club ran their own event then By all means open it to all.

Thot it was a great event but by being open to only Trust members it felt a little like preaching to the converted. Those who need to here the trusts message via these sessions are non members more so than members. Perhaps open to members first then open to non members, last one was no more than half full, but was an excellent event. Just a shame as I said earlier the manager was toast less than 24 hours later..........

It's like folk demanding access to the AGM without buying shares. If the Trust hire a room/hall and host a meeting, then of course they are going to open it to the folk who put funds in allowing them to do so. If the Trust hold another event, they should let members get tickets first then let it be open to the public. Can't say fairer than that. Wrangodog
Normally the manager speaks at the AGM, then have an "open to all" event for the wider fan base.

If others want to organise an event, no one is stopping them. It’s only a tenner a year if they want the trust benefits
