Wrangodog
Thought it was good but lost a bit after half way, and a big incident. When it comes to a war film I thought "Dunkirk" was superior at conveying the horror and tension without overdoing the squelchy bloated bodies.

Agreed on Dunkirk, I thought some scenes were proper horror and the feeling of fear was very intense. No need for gore if you film it correctly.
Kosygin
The acting in the film was spot on. The trailers for the film gave me Gallipoli (1981) vibes.
historyman
I thought it was excellent. It was effectively shot as one continuous scene on real time which was very impressively done.
