Wrangodog
Always be Green's Playhouse to me. The trip to the bogs, when the carpet got stickier the closer you got to them.
EKX16
I was too young to remember it being called the Greens Playhouse but had many fine nights in the Apollo. Although I was into Rock and Metal my first concert was Eddie and the hot rods with Radio Stars and Squeeze as supporting acts. Squeeze really impressed me.

DuncanEwart
I was never there (although @Blackislekillie could tell us a few stories ) but I know people who were at the last night when The Style Council played-tales of general euphoria and seats ripped up at the gig's end etc. etc. Billy Sloan remembers it as Greens Playhouse. I love Billy Sloan. Just saying........

I was there on the last night, don't remember the seats getting ripped up (maybe a beer effect) but do remember the stage dropping about 6 inches near the end and a cloud of dust going out into the crowd...speakers wobbled...TSC continued to play. This may well have been a total figment of my imagination. This line is doing well, lots of folk asking for their first/last/favourite gig to add to the collection.
