It was a tired, misjudged challenge - he is just making excuses to his mates in the moment which is 100% understandable.

The pitch has cost us again. 

It's got a lot to answer for: our dire home record under Locke and McCulloch, Jamie Murphy's injury, every defeat of Sevco and now our cup exit.
