beard2bfeared
Got into a conversation with a Rangers fan at work who thought every team got an even split of home and away games every season. Eg If we were at Tynecastle twice before the split we would get them at home after the split. I know that’s nonsense but can’t find any stats on it. i remember us getting shafted a few times regarding fixtures. An uneven split and possibly given 3 games at Ibrox in a recent season? Some of the guys on here will be able to find this kind of stuff. Cheers
Dieter's Heeder
It's definitely nonsense. Tell him if that's the case, then as it currently stands Celtic are due 5 home games and zero away fixtures post split. It won't happen.
beard2bfeared
That’s where the conversation started.
Jackwilson
If the same 6 teams finish in top half and bottom half as the season before then yes it will be an even split of playing each of the other teams in the respective half twice at home and twice away. Unsurprisingly, this doesn’t happen very often so it ends up with some teams having to play other teams away 3 times and home once. Only fair way to do it is making it an 18 team league and playing each team twice in my opinion
