Wrangodog
Would need to improve his recent form to get any decent bid for him. If he doesn't sign another contract then he would be able to sign a pre-contract in January.
Wee_Eck1979
We should already be talking to him. Him signing a new contract should be high up on JF's to do list
MarkyMark
Rather than pay a fee to sign him they could offer him £5k a week which is what they did with Shankland. Better cash flow wise for them and they secure an asset. Edited March 12, 2020 by MarkyMark -
skygod
They would have to wait another year to do that. -

He is a Scottish international, naturally left sided, quick, good on the ball with an eye for goal and is under 24. Added to the three years experience as well, there’s not many with that combination around. lets face it if he played for the sheep, but or the cheeks he would be getting quoted around 10million

We still need to sell Findlay this summer if he doesn't extend his contract and any prospective buying club knows that.

I think they haven’t found a buyer because any team that has watched him will realise that he isn’t very good -
casual observer
get an improved contract produced and make him club captain. Extra responsibility might temper his rash moments.

I would give him the armband -
Pride_of_ayrshire
Think now that we've seen whos been chucked and what we're left with maybe we start talking about the rebuild again. Would anyone take Ricki Lamie or Mickel Miller think there both good players playing with clubs with tight budgets both out of contract aswell.
livvy
I don't think we will start the rebuild until we know when we will be playing football and how many people will be able to watch it. Doubt we will hear anything for a good few weeks.

On paper that doesn’t seem unachievable and Seems as if it sits in line with the government’s phased return plan. Obviously things can change dramatically in that time as the last few months have shown. Whether that’s in hub stadiums, behind closed doors or something different who knows.

Your last sentence is the issue really. If we are behind closed doors we are signing nobody...if we are in position to have some fans in using social distancing our massive empty stadium may finally be extremely beneficial to us. Until that question has an answer we can't sign anyone. Anyone who does is risking not having a club at all at the end of all this.

One thing that was mentioned which could help loss of income was opening up other TV deals. Sky have their package but in the present circumstances and with blackout likely to be lifted packages could be sold to other broadcasters or streaming services.
mitch14
There was some talk of Sky, particularly if they are also to become sponsor, fronting up some of the money to clubs earlier to get a product going behind closed doors. Would make sense for all parties.

Doubt they'll pay it...especially with the SPFL hierarchy having the negotiating record they do
