skygod
My only memory of Douglas Park is Gerry Queen’s debut. He’d just been signed from St Mirren for Ronnie Hamilton plus cash. Big strong boy running with the ball, brushing off opponents. Scored twice too. That and the big building (tax office?) which over-shadowed the ground.

Not sure about Hamilton but that definitely happened at starks park.
skygod
Definitely happened at Hamilton. We won 1-0 with a Ross Jack goal. I think that was when this photograph was taken.
RayD
Douglas Park memory.... midweek game I think... George McLuskey (then a Hamilton player) reminding Killie fans the score was two each by displaying two fingers on each hand. At least I think that's what he meant

Doubt that was taken at Hamilton with all the blue stanchions in the background ... plus that strip is from the season after he was made manager.

I did wonder about the background. Maybe it's Starks Park. But I think that was the strip in 1991-92, which Burns ended as caretaker player/manager, and 1992-93, when we were promoted.

It was indeed as was Willie Watters scoring 5 in a reserve game ....

Knew it was 92/93 .... thought it was the narrower stripes in 91/92.

Seem to remember Mavis Reilly scoring a pen up there. Definitely in the away kit. Possibly was the following season though.

Porteous scored in a 1-1. Reilly scored in another 1-1 in 1992-93.
