Dyer - fraud

Calling Dyer is a fraud is harsh.

He didn't push himself forward for the job and, in his pre-match interviews,  modestly says we'll try to get a win or a draw.

He sets his sights low and the players seem to be responding accordingly.

Blame lies higher up than Dyer.

Spot on

Cheap option. The board are doing the same as they did with AA, no funding for half decent players. Sacking a manager 6 months in without backing him was a terrible decision. Sacking this one would be the correct decision

Ah but we've got a vanity box that sits empty, getting 2 new plastic pitches and a memorial garden. Priorities eh!

Just said this in another thread too - exactly my thoughts! As nice as those things are to have, they do seem like misplaced priorities.

We've hit the nightmare catch 22 which was always a possibility with Dyer -

Probably too late to be worth changing manager now, so ideal situation is for us to get safe and do it then.

But - by getting us safe in the next few games Dyer is suddenly in a position where the board could justify giving him the job...

Or not do it now and end up in the play-off, or worse.

Not that I'm advocating doing it now but it is a dilemma, as you say.
