Other clubs in the league been selling ST’s for a few weeks , would think a fair number of fans like myself would renew as a way of supporting the club........But can see why our club is taking its time , there might be news re ST once the SPFL somehow get round to making an official decision  to bring this season to an end

..granted things may change in next 6 months but with all the current expert medical opinion and the way this pandemic is going ...at the moment it looks very unlikely that fans will be allowed back to most grounds/sporting arenas in the rest of 2020 or until a vaccine, or valid correct medical treatment is made available

There might not be a 20-21 season. Some time to go till we can even think of finishing this season.

The BBC have an article up online including this quote from an expert in epidemics, he seems to agree with you......

Zach Binney, a PhD in epidemiology, says no sporting events will take place without a Covid-19 vaccine, with Binney also throwing practical doubts on the ability to hold games behind closed doors.

However, with vaccines not expected until the second half of 2021, we could be waiting some time to see our teams again.

Even if that prediction is a touch on the pessimistic side, is it really feasible to shoehorn games in either over or after the summer to get the campaign done, whether in front of a crowd or not?

Probably not, but if that prediction is true, all the teams in the English Championship will be bust within a year, same with EPL if TV money is withheld.  Scotland might fare a bit better, more teams could go PT, but with the higher % of income that comes from gate receipts,  even Celtic with £40m in the bank and a £50m wage bill would struggle waiting till 2022.

We should get them on sale and fans should stand by their intent to purchase even if there is no 2020/21 season, we might not have a club thereafter if we don’t.......

An interesting article in the Daily Record today with Massimo Donatti..... The Italians are proposing closed door games till next March & the German health minister warning the Bundesliga it could be upto 18 months before they let crowds return.

Closed-doors games would satisfy fans in the short term and TV and betting companies, but it's a very poor substitute. After a while people would stop watching it, because crowds are an essential part of the game. Before we can contemplate football people have to return to work or they won't be able to afford to watch it, either live or on TV.

Closed doors ain’t very good but ain’t very good is a million times better than what we’ve got now , when football begins again it will definitely start behind closed doors , folk love sport so will take anything to brighten our lives up just now , even a bloody cartoon grand national the other week got just under 5 million of us watching , if football behind closed doors is back before pubs open the tv audiences will be massive

Tranmere chairman, who was previously chairman of the FA, was saying he expected 'double figure' insolvencies in English football.  English teams owe £1.6bn in transfer fees!

If there is no games this year then when the league does start they will be lucky if there is anymore than 2 full time teams and they will only have a handful of experenced full time pros on there books .We will actually be back to the old days with most teams amateur. They will have all day to train though because I doubt any of us will have a job

One of the articles in The Athletic was suggesting that the government, certainly UK, are really keen to get games behind closed doors by way of boosting morale for the country. Have a game on every night, give people something to watch.

Agree it's a poor substitute, but there's probably something in that idea of people getting behind it. Keeping money coming in will be a huge issue if its for as long as is suggested in Italy/Germany though.

So how will that work if the EPL finish off the current season behind closed doors and Doncaster has already called the season over for the bottom three leagues ?

Apparently a question of resources - as skydog mentions - that was the 'keeping the players in world cup style training camps' for a few months plan. We couldn't afford it was the word. Who knows

I honestly don’t get all the doom and gloom , clubs survived WW2 . Fans won’t want clubs to fail and imo will step up , if they can afford to do so obviously . Football clubs will survive its just remains to be seen , in what form .

Back then clubs weren't as reliant on ST and TV money, just wealthy chairmen and they still had crowds back then bringing in weekly money, closed doors games won't have this. It is much a different time we live in

I agree it’s a much different time but I’m optimistic that most clubs will survive . Tbh we have too many senior teams in Scotland that are just scraping by and it sometimes takes something like this for the authorities to reassess things and reorganise the whole structure from the bottom up . I’ve no great thoughts on how as it’s been discussed elsewhere but the problem is that Scottish football lacks leadership and foresight . The aftermath of this crisis may force  decisions upon some teams as to their future.
