LH31
Who do you think has been Killie's biggest ever signing? I'll say Tommy Burns.

DG5
Tommy Burns. For the way he turned the club around. And the manner in which he did it. And the player he was.

piffer
The two who stand out have already been mentioned. Tommy Burns and Steve Clarke. Both had a huge impact in shaping the club and not just on the park
BigD'sGingerLorry
The question asked is "Who was the biggest signing?", not who was the best. So in terms of the amount of publicity it created then it would have to be Ally McCoist -
Bobby
Tommy burns. We were in the bottom leauge and he totally took us to a different level. No argument
Allan
Durant has to be in the conversation... how many players have we signed that went on to get as many caps?

KennyH80
More recent for those of us who never saw TB play. I still cant really believe we saw Mulumbu play for Killie, given what he done with WBA. Admittedly it wouldn't have happened without Steve Clarke.
Nigel4
Stevie Fulton was pretty huge
Gaffer
Immediately thought Tommy Burns but Stevie Clarke was also a huge influence on us, cant split them to be honest. Both raised our profile massively.

Eremenko, Durrant Cocard, Mulumbu, Weve had more than a few serious players in our last 30 odd years, but for impact alone and timing it has to be TB for me. He was pivotal in turning the efforts to turn our club around and sent a message to everyone fan, player alike that we were on our way back.

historyman
Biggest name in terms of previous career and value and reputation of the player when we signed them - probably Cocard, Eremenko and Mulumbu Biggest impact on the club - undoubtedly Tommy Burns Edited April 24, 2020 by historyman
Gaz of the 20/20
We've had some big name signings who were coups in their own right until they started playing and didnt live up to expectations. Samassi Abou and Julien Faubert for example.
skygod
An honourable mention for Davie Sneddon MBE, 84 today, whose record signing in 1962 helped turn perennial runners-up into champions.

C4mmy31
For the impact/change he made when he arrived - Tommy Burns. Name/reputation wise for a club our size - Christophe Cocard.
Bonbon19
Tommy Burns wouldn’t have been here without Bobby Fleeting who wouldn’t have been here without James Moffat . Also Ally McCoist was one of those signings it was hard to believe we’d got him
Fletch
Ultimately Steve Clarke but if we're talking players then surely Mulumbu? The other guys mentioned had incredible quality but were coming to the end of their careers and it wasn't unexpected that they'd take a step down within Scotland. It was inconceivable that a guy with Mulumbu's record would even entertain the notion of playing for a club like us at 30, I'm forever grateful that he did though.
