Next season's team

Recommended Posts

All this reported interest in these players can be often just wild rumours as is often the case for many clubs at this time if year....

After previous issues this time you would really hope JF and AD have list of potential signings that preliminary work has been done on and are waiting on agreement or to be finalised..plus back up options ...

I wonder if we will give Connor Johnson the chance to come back. Dyer seems quite a loyal type. Young player who would provide cover at the back.

He was absolutely dreadful.

He let Dyer down big time v Aberdeen. He shouldn't even be entertained as an option.

He was good in the away tie at Aberdeen. Made a bad mistake in the replay but he is inexperienced, and Findlay made an equally bad mistake to concede the penalty before the game reached extra-time.

motherwell being a well (soz pun) run machine, get signings in early so they can train & bond as a team early, allows them also to see areas that may need to be strenghened later in window by loans or free agents, not shopping in bargin bin like we seem to do each transfer window

If we make the decision to wait until the middle/end of July and then even later for some until we sign players. We better have a good case for league reconstruction come May next year.

He tried to block the cross, and got too much or not enough on it, Findlay making a ridiculous challenge put us out.

Crucially, he booted it in his own net.

There's an issue of consistency. Findlay is 90% of the time among the best defenders in the league. Connor Johnson was an absolute nightmare in all bar one game.

He may have unfortunately deflected the cross into our net but he was hardly to blame for some of our more experienced players stopping the cross  coming in the first place!

Hardly say he "booted it" into his own net, it has came off him, as he tried to block it.

If we are going to discount the lad for that goal v Aberdeen, we should be thankful that Cafu, sorry I meant SOD is gone, considering he stood still allowing Kennedy to nip in and score, then stopped moving , allowing Considine to cross the ball over which deflected off Johnson. I would take the lad as back up if we can.

But SOD decided last September time it didnt matter to him anymore

The person who owns the page must work closely with the sun for talking sh**e
