  1. The other issue is 'who would want to be a referee?? there is no pleasure in that career path. maybe if you had been a 'banker' you could easily have adjusted......to be a rhyming person to that word!!
  2. Its simple guys.....to be considered to be an elite referee you should need to be registered as having 'PLAYED' the game at a reasonable level whether that is amateur or junior or what!! these guys who are refs who have obviously not been players are the problems> they have no idea as to the nuances of what happens on a football pitch physically morally or mentally! Its a bit like me reading up on the rules of hockey or basketball which \i have never played,.....becoming an official without ever playing the sport.....knowing the rules..but not understanding the 'rules on the pitch' and officiating at a match and being deemed to be so wrong by the supporters who have played the grass roots game for years.....I despair!!
  3. Absolutely fantastic....considering where we were after 8 games and watching some dire performances. Then intro SSC and the revolution begins. Its just unbelievable.....lets all enjoy the rest of the season now even more and get the crowds back to the Aberdeen match levels for every game to support the staff and players' magnificent efforts this season to get top 6 with three to go......I would have paid money for that outcome after 8 games!!
  4. Hats off to Greg today, he was absolutely outstanding, best match I have seen him play. Effort and application awesome.
  5. After watching and listening to the respective managers behaviour today and post match interviews isnt it a source of very quiet satisfaction that we have a dignified professional manager like SSC and not an angry undignified and unprofessional chippy little prat like Neil Lennon. He is not fit to lace SSC's boots and todays antics just illustrate how lucky we are!!
  6. Bad loser.....always the same with those that love to give it out but cannae take it back when somebody gets the better of them.....how does he celebrate when they get one over on Rangers Hearts or Aberdeen...?? So what Broadfoot did to the Green end Broonie has never done to opposing fans.???....get real son and just appreciate that Mulumbu and his mates rendered you and your pals impotent today...! What a great day at Rugby Park!
  7. If Rangers are pursuing Jason Cummings, apparently he is in Glasgow for a medical......you would thing 'Naismith to Ibrox' option has been knocked on the head for now!
  8. Bear in mind we were lucky to win v Motherwell at Rugby Park.....and if it hadnt been for Jamies' 3 world class stops we would be three points less than now.....so it was a howler at Easter Rd but he has kept us in many a match over the last couple of seasons and played a significant role in keeping us up last season and where we now are this season. During the Lee Clark and LMcC eras there is no blame that could be attached to goalkeeping as to where we were at then.
  9. Said to my mate half way through the first half that if we got a point it would be a great result.....we were fortunate to come away with a draw but the defensive resilience was brilliant. We gave the ball away so cheaply today and on numerous occasions didnt clear our lines properly by faffing about instead of hoofin it up the park or into row z!! More mistakes than I have seen in many weeks.....but a point is great. Hibs are a good footballing side, probably the best in the league after Celtic, they move the ball well and quickly and counter attack impressively. JJ drives me mad......as he kicks and rushes, doesnt lift his head and therefore his vision and final pass is poor. If money came in for him I would grab it. I think he is massively over rated. And as far as Erwin is concerned....what has he EVER done when he has played?? He never wins a ball, doesnt seem to try very hard to 'make his much needed mark' when he comes on so I would punt him asap, very unimpressive player. Steve Clarke is a miracle man. We are so lucky to have such a quality guy in charge.....wait to you see Sevco sizing him up at the end of the season..!!
  10. Murrayfield today had me buzzing and me roaring like an eejit......effin brilliant. Thats what its like to be a Killie fan.....BTW the cheeseburgers were East of Scotland pure .s.ite!!
  11. At Murrayfield today and what an atmosphere in the Killie end. Brilliant to be there. Lets face it we were totally dominant in the first half and although we let Hearts back into it a bit in the second half we totally deserved this win. The difference is now that we are playing through the midfield on short tight passes and keeping possession ( not rocket science!!) and then feeding the strikers rather than lumping it up front all the time to KB who cannot win the ball!! Hearts thankully were disappointing and poor! I think KB has his mojo back which is great and influenced by the Steve C team spirit and belief which he has built up. I thought it was significant that Boydie came back on to the park at the end of the game with his big anorak on.....to congratulate his team mates on the win....I think in previous similar games he might have already been in the bath not knowing how the game ended!! And thats not a criticism of him...I think it just demonstrates how the squad mood has changed for the better under SC!
  12. As I said before this is no fluke. When you get a quality coach who commands the respect of the players and who puts his mark down it makes a difference. Lee McC was the classic 'previous player trying to be mates with his ex team mates'.............when has that ever worked anywhere?? Steve Clarke comes with an unquestionable pedigree and any player who thinks he is bigger than him will quickly be told to go and eff off...good!! KB ...I think he is listening!!!
  13. Remember Gerry Queen that went to Crystal Palace?? And our goaikeeper that went to West Ham.....what was his name?
  14. Tommy MacLean was the best kicker of a dead ball ever. He could place the ball on the head of a sixpence....just ask Ross Mathie!! Unfortunately he couldnae tackle anything.....but the famous Number 7 for Killie was my hero. Gutted when he went to Rangers. That Killie team.....Forsyth, King, McGrory, Beattie, McIlroy, Sneddon, hamillton, et al ...wow!
