  1. I thought you were talking about Boris Johnston.
  2. Absolutely never saw that coming.
  3. I think Donnelly clattered somebody right after the Danny incident. Never got booked. Looked like revenge to me. Sadly it was not Shinnie.
  4. Shinnie caught Danny in the head with his elbow. Should have been a free kick for us and a yellow for Shinnie. Anyway Beaton does not even stop the game for a head knock. Subsequently Danny kicks the ball out to get attention from the bench. When Beaton tells Danny he will have to go off after receiving treatment Dany probably points out that he should not have to leave the field of play as if Beaton had been doing his job right and given Shinnie a yellow he would not have had to leave the field. Probably used some industrial language at this point which got him booked.
  5. Sunak's government are also moving towards calling anybody who marches calling for a ceasefire a terrorist.
  6. I suspect the Warnock thing was all agreed before KO today. It wisnae working and everybody knew it.
  7. He should have had a yellow for elbowing Danny in the head but yup Murry did foul him when it was not given.
  8. Yup. watched a few Killie games like that over the years.
  9. When they scored the 2nd I would have settled for 2-0 down at HT.
  10. We certainly don't look very clever at all any time thy have the ball in the final 3rd. I believe our goal was our first shot on target. So basically I agree.
  11. Maybe switch to BBC. See how it goes.
  12. Probably pictures from "Red TV". I am getting commentary from John Barnes. Anybody know who he has with him? Sounds like a Scandinavian or eastern European accent.
  13. Yeah, a bit of a pathetic attempt by the Establishment to disempower Nicola. Still no charges brought after 3 years.
  14. Starmer and the SNP seem to think distracting people with gay rights and diversity while promoting a neo-liberal economic system that enriches the super wealthy and promotes massive wealth inequality makes them "socially conscious". It is the same narrative as Cameron used. There is nothing between them.
  15. Actually I agree with pretty well all of your post. The above is the most depressing thought and I don't want to let it go unchallenged. I think, I believe, we can change society.
  16. Starmer, and indeed the SNP leadership have no plans to address the neo-liberal economic system which is principally responsible for the % of wealth held by under 40s falling about 47% in the UK during the decade to the pandemic. (The inequality actually accelerated during the pandemic.) So who should we vote for? Even in an independent Scotland we are assured of the same old flawed economic orthodoxy. Truss tried to give it afterburners to out-Thatcher Thatcher but she was such a clown she overcooked it so much it blew back in her face. Neo-liberal, trickle down, economics is at the heart of all of the most unequal societies in the world. It is the very hallmark of such societies. In the UK we tried to take another path post war but Thatcher sailed to power at the start of the 80s heralding a return to Victorian levels of economic inequality as a revolutionary innovation. And Starmer (the leader of an alleged left of centre party) has been telling us all how much he approved of it.
  17. I am inclined to agree that there might be a better chance of progress here in an independent Scotland. My views on independence are actually quite nuanced and that doesn't fit with the current binary narrative. Certainly being part of the UK involves an amount of historical baggage we would be better off without. First past the post, an unelected second chamber to name just two things which have no rational basis apart from that's how its always been done. I'm sure many people said abolishing slavery would never happen, at some point in the past. but here we are.
  18. Here is a simple solution to the economic stagnation of the UK. Easy to understand, easy to implement and it fixes all the problems overnight. NhS waiting lists, student debt, welfare bills all gone overnight. Make capital gains tax the same rate as income tax. That's it. Tax lazy f**kers who don't work but live off returns on massive wealth pay the same tax rates as we charge people to work. Simple, fair, easy to implement and there would only be a very small number if people who would object.Only a small number of very well placed influential politicians, newspaper owners and lobbyists. Oh wait......
  19. Noticed they'd slipped that one in. Looks like neither Sunak or Starmer give a stuff about Scottish votes but can't understand why people vote for the nats. I could tell them if they asked me.
  20. Folliwing the anti climax of Hunt's budget yesterday, the Tories seem committed to the message that the UK's economic stagnation is the result of covid and the war in Ukraine. Total denial about the economic skip fire of Brexit. The sadest thing here is that Starmer seems bought into this narrative too. That's the biggest victory for Farrage and Cummings. Like Thatcher and tricle down neo liberal economucs, they have changed the narative and no mainstream politician can suggest economic growth could be boosted by drawing closer to Europe. They have really salted the earth and Starmer is clueless. Only interested in being PM with no clue about how he can nake things better at all.
  21. I thought the red card was harsh because he didn't deny a goalscoring opportunity. They got a penalty kick which is a goal scoring opportunity.
  22. Don't think so if its not violent conduct but I could be wrong.
  23. I thought you could not get a red card if you gave away a penalty or is that just the keeper? Looked well outside the box to me.
