  1. I noticed McInnes was out with the paper and pencil lecturing a few players when Dennis was down getting treatment.
  2. About 30 years ago I used to find the Torygraph was quite good at getting the factual bits of the news right, even if I found their political commentary distasteful. Now it is just a propaganda sheet for the Brexiteers and the factual basis of its articles has disappeared totally. I agree 100% with your comments that now the FT is the only UK newspaper that seems to concentrate on factual reporting. Sometimes I find them a bit right wing but their articles are factually based.
  3. It is astonishing that Sunak is conflating the election of Galloway, the victor in a UK by election, with terrorism after the Speaker of the House suppressed democracy on Gaza at Westminster. Sunak, the third unelected Tory PM since 2016. A man who condones his own MPs making islamophobic comments in print and on broadcast media. Then they talk about Putin manipulating the media and suppressing dissent.
  4. "Detached" seems somehow inadequate to describe Sunak. The economy is tanking, people want proper funding for the NHS but he is talking about tax cuts. People want a Gaza ceasefire but he is talking about deporting people to Rwands.
  5. I'm with Scouser2. Been watching Killie long enough to know we can't talk about top 6 till it is confirmed.
  6. Somebody else who swears by the deterrent effect of a stern telling off?
  7. Probably a lot of agreement between us here too. The crap in Yemen against the Houthis was just for show and needed massive US support. The UK could not afford carrier support and had to fly from the Med. FFS how do we make them stop playing soldiers.
  8. A total skip fire. Right at this moment over 1,000,000 people displaced in fighting between government and rebel forces. Children under 16 conscripted into armies on both sides. Stories of mass rape and murder. Rwanda in there stirring it up too. Makes Gaza look like a Sunday school picnic by comparison, Surprisingly no mention of this at all anywhere on UK meeja. Must be because Rwanda is such a safe stable place.
  9. Most of the humanitarian Gaza ceasefire protesters are Christians or have no religious affiliations. It is only the right wing nutjobs, the Tories and Starmer who are trying to paint this as a war against Islam. P.S. I find Galloway to be an odious individual but he has the wind beind him here.
  10. First of all I'd like to point out that I suggested the UK stopped deluding themselves that they were still a global super power (or imperialists as you called them). Secondly you will find Norway was a founder member of NATO and Sweden have been gagging to become a member recently. So on the basis you have no objection to an independent Scotland being part of NATO, that is going to cost money. And in that event I would suggest the most cost effective approach for all involved is a joint defence force with rUK.
  11. And when Vlad decides to set up a couple of bases at Leuchars and Lossimouth we could ask him nicely to leave. That is working so well in Ukraine.
  12. Congratulations George, Starmer is reaping the rewards of trying to ignore protests against Israel's genocide in Gaza. He managed to shut the SNP up but his tactic of sticking his fingers in his ears and reciting la la la very loudly has finally come back to bite him up the bum.
  13. He's a thought. The UK could sober I and stop kidding themselves they are still a global superpower. Then we could stop spending billions on expensive nuclear paperweights we can't use without US approval (the guidance relies on GPS). Then we could afford to properly fund conventional forces. And maybe even decent public services.
  14. I suppose it shows how fare we have come from narrowly beating Arbroath just under two years ago that I a disappointed we lost tonight.
  15. If I am living somewhere in Gaza I just want them to stop dropping bombs on me now. How long a ceasefire lasts is not really foremost in my mind.
  16. Yeah, one defending racists and bigots, the other defending war criminals. Makes you proud to be British eh? Now you know how I feel as a Christian, listening to US evangelicals defending Trump.
  17. Well if the Tories and Labour's best line of attack against the SNP was that they are all about imagined grievance, Starmer has put in a real shift with his pal The Speaker to ensure any grievance is absolutely 100% real. I think Starmer's parliamentary smartarseerry here could backfire on him in terms of the Scottish vote. But then he doesn't really need it or give much of a f**k about it so i guess its unlikely he'll see it as much of a setback.
  18. Hoyle now rows back on his conciliation offer of an SNP debate on Gaza. confirming, if indeed any further confirmation was needed that Starmer pulls his strings. It is becoming clearer and clearer why Sinn Fein refuse to participate in this parody of democracy.
  19. There is clearly something not working at Aberdeen and I don't think Neil Warnock is the answer. It may be Del saw some of this coming and decided to bail out.
  20. 4 mins ad 5 seconds into time added on. Came directly from the corner. I think the ref would have stopped the game if Aberdeen had cleared it. "A minimum of 4 minutes".
  21. About as neutral as a match official when we are playing the Infirm. I think I am beginning to understand why Sinn Fein refused to take up their seats at WM.
  22. Yeah. Not clever. I what an all purpose s**t show.
  23. Thistle had obe disallowed in the 1st half. Looked find to me from TV slo mo.
  24. Some dreadful refereeing tonight. Thistle had 2 goals wrongly chalked off. No VAR, just incompetence from the SFA again.
