  1. The primary function of the vaccine is to protect you from serious illness, isn't it? Therefore your primary concern should be whether or not you need that protection. You may decide to get it for other concerns, but they, by definition, aren't primary concerns.
  2. There's nothing wrong with having short, medium and long terms goals. Our short, nay immediate term plan should be to get out of the league. I'm happy with a manager that can do that. If they are successful and move on, then we can start on the medium and long term stuff. I only say that because if we don't get out of this league this season we might not last much longer.
  3. Don't you have any empathy at all? You might have a different view if you are heavily pregnant (apologies if you are), and have decided to wait until your baby is delivered before you get the vaccine. Perhaps consider that the risk profile of a healthy 20 year old is significantly different to that of a 60 year old with underlying health conditions. What about those who have read all of the s**te that Facebook (sorry, Meta) have pushed to the top of their (and presumably your) feeds, and some of that has started to seep in, and they're now worried about getting a jab. And consider that 90% in the UK have had both doses, 82% their second and 50% have had their booster. So those people that you are so angry about barely even exist. But yeah, tHeY aRe aLL f**KinG bEll eNds. ?
  4. I disagree. I may (or may not, if my wife is reading) love Kenny more than my own children, but there is no way on Earth he could delegate the job of team coach to someone else. The job utterly consumed him first time round, but he'd never be out of the papers, and it would undermine the coach. He wouldn't do that on purpose of course, but the papers loved him for a quote and would waste no time in twisting what he said.
  5. Andy Robertson? The Liverpool left back? He played for Queens Park? I had no idea. It's never mentioned when people talk about him. Is it the same one that worked in the ticket office?
  6. No. Other people should never be the primary concern when it comes to your own health and body. Some people who are not bothered either way might be swayed by vulnerable family or friends, but again, that's up to them.
  7. I agree with both posts there - if our midfield was better, those two would be scoring regularly and we could all drink the champagne that @Zorro has on ice for us.
  8. Aye, but how good would a good team look if a good team could look good?
  9. I disagree, I think Shaw and Hendry are too similar, and think one of them paired with Robinson is a better option.
  10. The seat belt analogy does work in a way, but not in the usual way it's applied. The reason you put on a seat belt is to protect yourself, not others. It might have that bonus in certain situations, but no-one puts on their seatbelt because they think it will save others. The same is true for a vaccine. You take it because it will protect you, not others. And that's how it should be. Therefore it's up to the individual to take the vaccine, and they have no 'responsibility' to others. If people choose not to, that's up to them. It doesn't matter what their reason is, it's up to them.
  11. I've yet to see any evidence that you do think like that though. How will you divert the conversation now that you know I'm not an anti-vaxxer?
  12. Yes, last dose back in the summer, booster booked for the new year. Not that it's any of your business. I know it makes it easier for you if I'm an anti-vaxxer, but I'm not. After all, Oceania was always at war with Eurasia.
  13. 'interesting newsflash' ??? No, it's f**king horrible, not 'interesting'. 'avoidable', 'lessened voluntarily','putting their predicaments down to bad luck when they had the free opportunity to get a level of protection for themselves'. You may not think that these people deserve to die, but you have a really funny way of showing it.
  14. That's true, you weren't hinting. The post was dripping with so much smug you didn't need to.
  15. I think I might have finally figured this out. I watched his utter confusion in the first half when he let the ball smack off him and allowed the Dunfermline forward in to get a shot away which was blocked by Hemming. He looked utterly bewildered, and then it hit me. The last time I saw confusion like that was the last time I watched Quantum Leap. You know, the bit where Sam leaps into a new body, and doesn't initially realise he's a teenage girl in the 1950s? Then the big lightbulb moment - Al died in November, and Sam is now 67. So we have a 67 year old Sam in a 30 year old Australian's body, but because Al is dead, Sam still doesn't know where he is, why he is here or what he's meant to be doing. When you watch him play through that lens, it all makes perfect sense. Hopefully the new manager has access to Ziggy. Oh boy.
  16. There are decent players in the squad - Haunstrup has been better in the last couple of matches and Robinson was playing well today too. I think a 3-5-2 might work for us but we are in desperate need of a mobile defensive midfielder and a no. 10.
  17. What side of the 'argument' am I on? I was directly getting at you for being smug about the hospitalisations of two and the death of one, because they weren't vaccinated. To use your own words, that is at best morally dubious and is certainly crass. Whatever you think of the state of the coronavirus pandemic, people don't deserve to die just because they didn't get a vaccine.
  18. Get King Kenny on the phone now - NI Ladies fixtures aren't that often, are they?
  19. Holy s**t. You're actually doubling down. People have died, and you think they deserve it. Have a word with yourself.
  20. I'll bet they're all glad you're using their misfortune to score petty points on the internet. No need to sound so gleeful about it. How pathetic.
  21. Not legally, but the club was ran as if it was in administration during his tenure.
  22. I think he's referring to the 0-0 draw in the league a few seasons prior, when Falkirk missed a sitter in the six yard box with five minutes to go. I had to throw out my boxers after that.
