  2. Have got 1 spare Adult ticket if anyone is still looking for one. Can meet in Killie tomorrow/Sat morning or at the ground. UPDATE: Ticket sold.
  3. The Shed welcomes all Kilmarnock fans, young and old to come enjoy a great pre-party with face painter, the famous shed pies and music from tartan army favourite DJ Tam Coyle. The event will run from 1pm-4.30pm on Saturday 14th January 2023. Entry is free, reserve tickets on the link below https://www.eventbrite.hk/e/scottish-league-cup-semi-final-kilmarnock-pre-hampden-party-tickets-450485944587
  4. Surely it’s fairly simple to allow away fans to buy tickets through the TicketCo app like we do? Obviously not suitable for OF games but for every other game where the away end doesn’t sell out it seems a bit daft to put in an expensive ticketing system and not use it to its full potential.
  5. I think they have to be the standard 105m x 68m to comply with the UEFA regulations. Edit: talking rubbish, for category 2 stadia the pitch can be 100-105m long and 64-68m wide. It would only be if we got to the group stages we'd need to standardised 105x68. Not idea what our dimensions were last season.
  6. The club charter to Reykjavik in 1999 was £400pp for flights and 1 nights digs, so aye expect it to be the cost SH mentioned above or possibly more! I’d be surprised if there is a specific charter flight for fans, I don’t think the demand is there to fill a 200 seat aircraft at the prices being talked about as most people intent on going will have already booked, and sourcing one plane will be hard enough during peak holiday season let alone two. I’d expect the team to fly out the morning before the game and back straight after it, on previous team flights, there were about 50 seats taken up by the club, a further 20 or so by the press and then the rest sold to supporters.
  7. They generally get between 500-700 for Europa League games, and looking at all their previous opponents I don’t think any would have brought much of an away support. Add in Killie fans trying to buy home end tickets, I’d expect them to sell out pretty quickly.
  8. I think that is a massive part of the problem is that the details provided are so vague. I read it as “any remaining tickets” would suggest if all 800 are requested/required then there will be no other sale. I might be wrong, I often am, so hopefully there will still be a few hundred at least for everyone else to fight over, but as it stands there is no information on how/if tickets will be available to anyone outside a supporters club.
  9. Because “availability of any remaining tickets” would suggest if all 800 are requested/required by supporters clubs then it will be exclusive to them. As per my previous post, a number should have been confirmed in advance of announcing it of how many were being allocated to clubs, then everyone would know where they stand. As I said I’m my original post, the club could have avoided this fall out by not being so ambiguous with the details.
  10. The main problem I have with this decision is that it has been made exclusive to a small few, totally excluding the majority. I have no issue at all with supporters clubs/buses getting tickets, but to make it exclusive for them, ruling out fans that travel home and away by any other means of transport is totally wrong. There are only about 4-5 buses that go to away games reguarly, some games even less so. Based on 50 tickets per bus that is only 250, that still leaves over two thirds of the tickets unallocated. I would expect them to be put on sale at some stage, but plenty of people will have cancelled time off/hotels/transport by then based on the ambiguity of the details announced. The club could have avoided this fall out by announcing at the outset; 250 tickets allocated to supporters clubs to reward loyalty for following home and away. 550 tickets to be allocated by means of first come, first served or a ballot amongst season ticket holder and shareholders. IMO in that case, most people would be happy, the regulars that travel all over the country would still be sorted, and everyone else would get a fair shot. There were always going to be people disappointed, but the anger is with the way the club has handled this, not the fact a lot of people will miss out on tickets.
  11. CQN had to declare the venue to UEFA at 18.00 on the day of the draw so didn’t have time to explore multiple options. They tried to help us by trying get Wrexham and couldn’t, such is life. How would you respond if one of the Old Firm started questioning why we didn’t move the game to a bigger ground at any one of their title deciders where demand clearly exceeded supply.
  12. Absolute nonsense. I’ve been to numurous games in the Balkans as an away fan and I’ve never seen the police give anyone a beating for nothing.
  13. Bear in mind Red Star Belgrade also got drawn to be at home 2nd leg so one will get switched. Don’t book flights just yet!
  14. Their previous European attendances (all games played at Rhyl with the exception of HJK at Bangor) 2018-19 Shakhtyor Soligorsk - 577 2017-18 HJK Helsinki - 472 2016-17 Staebek - 573 Vojvodina - 809 Based on that I'd say we'd be lucky to be initially allocated any more than 1000 tickets.
  15. The only info I can find on the sub groups from last year is an article from 2 days before the draw, so be able to start working on routes to 5/6 potential destinations with a couple of days notice.
  16. 14 of the 49 ties in QR1 the seeded team played away in the 2nd leg, so yes would appear that they are reversed in the case of more than one team needing to use the same stadium. Also something else I noticed was the teams were broken down into 9 groups of 5/6 seeded and unseeded teams prior to the draw, so if the same happens this season we will have our prospective opponents whittled down. Need to try and find out when that is done.
  17. That’s not the case. Rangers and Hibs were both seeded last season in QR1 and both played the away leg 2nd. I’m not 100% sure of the actual ruling. But a lot of teams have to share UEFA compliant stadia, in Macedonia for example, the national stadium in Skopje is the only suitable ground in the country, so ties can be reversed if required to allow for more games to be played at the same stadium. It is not even guaranteed to be on a Thursday. Again due to the above games can be moved to the Tuesday/Wednesday.
  18. No, all 3 Scottish teams enter at the 1st qualifying round.
  19. Two totally different scenarios. 2011 they were going for the title and every man, dug and zombie wanted to be there, this one in all likelihood will be a nothing game for them. I don’t foresee uncontrollable large numbers of them in the home end.
  20. Absolutely excellent. Would be good if the club could try and co-ordinate ticket sales for St Mirren so that all those that want to create an atmosphere are all in one section, if it is not in reserved seating.
  21. Reykjavik or Kaiserlautern for me, not sure which is further! Having experienced how enjoyable Scotlands long haul trips to Japan, Peru and Mexico were. I can only dream of a repeat of Killie's 1995 trip to Korea!! https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/what-are-kilmarnock-doing-in-korea-1586313.html
  22. I went to a Fenerbache game in Istanbul a couple of years back. You get a ‘Passolig’ card which is valid for entry at all grounds in the top league. You then have an online account/phone app which you top up with cash and you can buy both home and away tickets for your designated club via the app. Turn up, swipe the card and you are in, the app tells you your seat number etc. You can also use it to buy food/drink inside the stadium. Some of the Turkish fans hate it as they see it as intrusive as it holds a picture of you and links you to the seat you have selected and because it was set up/funded by the government they don’t trust it, but a similar system would work an absolute treat here.
  23. Was there in November last year, and still hopeful of making Scotland game there, if we don't get into Europe...the first 4 Scotland aways this year have rouked me! Remarked at the time I was there it would be a cracking place for a trip, an abundance of bars/clubs that seemed to be jumping every night! Dirt cheap and a bit chaotic (very similar to Georgia if you went to either trip there), just stay off the Rakija..it's lethal!! As Skygod said the national stadium where Killie played is a currently a building site, but only about 5-10 mins walk from the main square. Didn't see KF Tirana's current stadium when I was there but on maps it looks to be around the corner from where most of the bars are. If you need any info, drop me a PM
  24. Unless it has changed recently, I think the cup runner up would get the Europa League place if the cup winner had qualified for the Champions League. The cup European place is more prestigious (You enter round Q2, both league places enter Q1) so if the league Europa League qualifiers won the cup then they would inherit the cup place and their league slot rolls down to 4th. So based on that the following would occur to qualify for Europe we would need to either: Win the cup Lose to Celtic in the cup final Finish 4th and hope either Rangers or Aberdeen win the cup EDIT: Above is old info, new rules as below look like it goes to 4th place league finisher in any circumstance. Redistribution rules A Europa League place is vacated when a team qualifies for both the Champions League and the Europa League, or qualifies for the Europa League by more than one method. When a place is vacated, it is redistributed within the national association by the following rules: When the domestic cup winners (considered as the "highest-placed" qualifier within the national association with the latest starting round) also qualify for the Champions League, their Europa League place is vacated. As a result, the highest-placed team in the league which have not yet qualified for European competitions qualify for the Europa League, with the Europa League qualifiers which finish above them in the league moved up one "place". When the domestic cup winners also qualify for the Europa League through league position, their place through the league position is vacated. As a result, the highest-placed team in the league which have not yet qualified for European competitions qualify for the Europa League, with the Europa League qualifiers which finish above them in the league moved up one "place" if possible.
  25. Getting tickets varies on a club by club basis. Some it is incredibly easy, eg. Hertha Berlin, some are incredibly difficult, eg, Bayern. Almost all clubs have a decent English version on their website and most have a print at home option for printing tickets. I’d personally recommend Berlin, Hamburg or Dusseldorf as a base as all offer a decent combination of being easy to get to, good nightlife and sights and a number of clubs within easy reach. Dusseldorf especially offers a number of clubs within an hour or so on the train and is a much better place to spend a weekend that nearby Dortmund. The schedule has been confirmed up until Matchday 22 which is on the weekend of the 9th February, after that is still TBC but there is generally 1 game on a Friday night and 3 on Sunday with the rest being 15.30 on Saturday. Depending on where you are you could potentially get 2 games on the weekends, especially if you include Bundesliga 2 which, although not as high as standard, still offers a great atmosphere and experience (eg Union Berlin and St Pauli) If have a weekend in mind and aren’t that fussed where you want to go I’d suggest sticking in the dates on SkyScanner from Glasgow/Edinburgh and just putting the destination as Germany. The way it will show up the prices to each city, you can use that to then see where ties in with games on the said weekend and go from there. One thing to bear in mind, and is a common misconception is that your match ticket only allows for local (ie. within the city limits) public transport, so local buses, trams, S-Bahn trains etc. It doesn’t include going from city to city. Getting between cities in Germany is very easy and efficient though not the cheapest so worth bearing in mind if you plan on city hopping. Deutche Bahn website has an english version and is very handy, they have a UK call centre as well if you need any further info. Between all the Scotland aways and taking in a good few random European games I've been to a lot of games on the continent and Germany ranks in my mind as the highest in terms of experience so highly recommend a trip over, if you need any more info and want a hand putting a trip together send me a PM.
