  1. If we are going down the line of another loan keeper I wouldn't be against Dennis for another season however I'd much rather we identified a goalkeeper and sign them on a 2/3 year contract. It seems like a long time since we had a settled goalkeeper over a number of seasons and I don't think Dennis is a level above the goalkeepers we would be in the market for.
  2. I'm sure we scored 5 away at Dunfermline, Durrant possibly one of the scores that day.
  3. We are currently on a run of something like 3 defeats in our last 16 games in all competitions (2 of those to Rangers) and we have a home game where a win would put us 4th and all but secure our place in the top 6! Last week was a very bad day at the office but if ever there was a game to be able to get up for surely this is it!
  4. Say what you like about Vassell but one thing I've never been able to question is a lack of effort. Gives 100% every week even when his form has dipped.
  5. Maybe not out of favour as such in that he is playing regularly however he is playing out wide at Livi which is a complete waste and they seem to be getting nothing out of him. He is the kind of player I think McInnes would get the best out of. Martindale repeatedly banging on about needing to add players but has no money so they may be willing to let someone like Nouble go to free up some wages.
  6. Hadn't realised that thanks. Definitely opent the door for loan move then.
  7. Maybe not so much players signing in January but one thing McInnes always did well at Aberdeen was to be a step ahead of the game when it came to summer recruitment and have players signed up on pre contract agreements in January. This time last year we were not in a position to do that due to not knowing what league we would be in this season, however it should be easier attracting players this time round and hopefully something we are looking at.
  8. I was actually thinking about Nouble driving back from the game tonight when Martindale was being interviewed. Seems to be out of favour at Livi and Martindale keeps going on about needing funds to bring players in. Even getting Nouble in on loan may be an option. Really think a Nouble/Watkins combination would be great and take the pressure of playing Vassell when not fully fit.
  9. The difference being Luke Chambers was a stand out for us and showed that he was capable of playing at a higher level. I'm not sure the same can be said about Wales during his time at Alloa so far.
  10. 37% possession at home against a poor Hearts side. We have absolutely no game plan is a terrible watch.
  11. I had the same issue when trying to buy tickets late last night. Decided just to buy a ticket for a random seat and then will sit in my season ticket seat as the ticket won't be available for anyone else to buy. Seemed easier than having to wait till today and contact the club!
  12. Have a spare ticket adult ticket for today on the off chance anyone is heading long without a ticket. Ticket going free if anyone is interested, can meet at the stadium.
  13. You may well be right. I always worry playing CBs as fullbacks that any team with pacey wingers will have a field day as the fullbacks naturally want to come in field and often get caught for speed in a one v one. Plus you lose any attacking threat that natural fullbacks provide. Time well tell I suppose.
  14. I still think we need a natural left and right fullback. I know we have players that can cover at left back if required but we would be crazy to go into the season without any natural fullbacks/wing backs.
  15. I've spoken to a few St.Johnstone fans who believe that they made offers to Deas and Kennedy and both have ended up at Rugby Park. St.Johnstone are certainly not building on a more solid foundation than ourselves, in fact we have been in the fortunate position of having so many players out of contract, St.Johnstone may have more signed players to start with but those players only just avoided relegation last season as well. Is notable that our permanent signings that have been made early on are all from Scottish based players, and in my opinion, are all an improvement on last seasons squad. I'd imagine players down south will have more options available to them and, also with clubs down south not starting back pre season until a couple of weeks later than us, not be in as much of a rush to make a decision on where they will be playing their football next year. One thing that does seem to be clear is players want to play for DM and he seems to be able to sell the club and his vision. I'd imagine our permanent signings from now on will be from down south and certainly no need for any panic at this early stage.
  16. I've always quite like the look of Sibbald, comfortable on the ball and pops up with a few goals.
  17. Home game against Falkirk in the playoff 2nd leg. Thankfully we started the game so well the nerves were short lived and it turned into a great afternoon in the sun.
  18. In relation to Shaw, he had a decent scoring record at Ross County and yet they were still happy to get rid. Same appears to be happening with us so you have to ask if there are more issues with Shaw than just his performances on the pitch which.
  19. The only reason that no action has been taken against Slattery by the SFA is surely waiting on the outcome of the criminal case. Acting in a threatening and abusive manner and using homophobic remarks clearly breaches the SFAs rules. There is no defending Kyle Lafferty however whatever punishment the SFA dish out to Lafferty will surely be the same punishment heading Slatterys way!
  20. Would have to think that suggests he is firmly in DMs plans. Makes sense to keep the hearing at the original date meaning Lafferty is available for selection until then and gives us the opportunity to bring in another striker in January should Laffery still be serving a suspension.
  21. I phoned the club this morning and was able to buy a ticket over the phone with an arrangement to meet the SLO to collect the ticket from him at Easter Road tomorrow before kick off. Should anyone be thinking of going and not able to get to Rugby Park ?
  22. Surely someone could opt to have a loved one buried and also want to have a commemorative plaque at Rugby Park. Seems crazy if that is not possible.
  23. May be worth giving the club a call and explaining your predicament. Surely tickets could be purchased over the phone and then collected from the ticket office before kick off in a situation like this. I appreciate it shouldn't be necessary but I also appreciate the position the club find themselves in trying to prevent Celtic and Rangers fans getting into the home end which has led to a lot of upset in the past. I saw a video from the Livi v Rangers game at the weekend and half the home end were on their feet cheering when Tavernier scored the free kick which I'm sure none of us would want at Rugby Park.
  24. Personally given the choice I'd have a fit Brophy in my team ahead of Shaw every day of the week and I'm sure Brophy would have had a higher goal return in the Championship last season than Shaw. In saying that I'm happy enough having Shaw as our number 9 going into the new season. Due to the way things ended with Brophy at Killie it seems to get forgotten how well he done for us in a great Killie team.
  25. If Martindale is allowing Griffiths to train with Livi and they have no intention of offering him a contract that says enough to me about the standard Griffiths is currently at. If he was anything like his old self Livi would be making him an offer.
