  1. Aye, definitely Hugh Burns at RB, but I was meaning the "Tommy Burns copy" written on the side. Good find!
  2. Superb @skygod, great collection. I've got a couple of these too. Saw some brilliant players in reserve games back then. Always loved hearing what they were shouting at each other too!
  3. Love it - Tommy Burns copy as well, a great find. I found a few early 90s Reserve League West programmes/team sheets recently and I thought they were pretty obscure but this is even better. Funny now to think we produced programmes for reserve games and they were pretty good too.
  4. Great episode lads, loved the ending. The Oli Shaw poem recital just tremendous - sums up the pain and joy of watching Oli perfectly. PS well done Cal on your Graham Spiers podcast appearance, thought you were great on that too.
  5. I was so sure about this but I'm clearly talking garbage. I even dug out the match programme last night and i am indeed talking guff. Not intentional fake news, just an old guy with brain fade. Apologies.
  6. Sorry, I thought he was. I've been telling folk that for years....
  7. Kenny Sheils was in the Coleraine team that night.
  8. Best obscure player ever. Over 50 caps for Sweden and played in a Champions Cup final. I was at Parkhead to see what I think was his only start for us. He must've been about 40. Great passer, but couldn't move. I remember wee Alex Burke was amazing that night.
  9. Well done Gordon, a really enjoyable episode. He was such an exciting and high profile signing for us first time around and it just didn't work out at all. It was interesting to hear him explain the reasons for that. I remember the few games he played as sweeper at the end of the promotion campaign. I can't think of too many other times when a team had both manager and assistant on the park. Poor Jim Stewart left on his own in the dugout!
  10. Another great listen this week - the pod just keeps getting better. I think the approach to the manager is spot on. We can be critical of what has gone on but still be supportive. I was at the game in Lurgan as well. Pretty scary afterwards finding somewhere safe for a pint! I didn't remember the thing about Calderón, but I do remember the legendary Davide Merdy making his first (and only) start for us. He was rotten.
  11. He was really good. Dominated midfield.
  12. DIsagree. He kept going the whole game, tracking runners and fighting for every ball. Could've done better on the goal but overall I thought he was solid.
  13. Anyone else hear this on 5Live Euro League show tonight? Top Spanish football journalist Guillem Balagué says he nearly became a coach at Killie 12 or 13 years ago. Says he was part of the coaching team for an ex-Malaga manager who was in for the job but didn't get it. Bit odd. I can only think it was 2010 pre-Mix when we were interviewing lots of foreign candidates, including Thomas Hasler.
  14. Ray Stephen was a great player in the 80s. Captain of Nancy in the French top league, played under Arsene Wenger. Unfortunately we got him when his knee was knackered and he hadn't played for a year. He was an exciting signing until he got on the pitch. A bit like Gary Shaw and Alan McInally, two other big name signings in the early 90s who were all washed up by the time they signed for us.
