  1. I've dusted down the most recent version of the ticket counter that @Kfc_sjp last shared and updated for the Ayr game. Not sure how accurate it'll be for home attendance (season tickets and closed sections making the numbers difficult), but should be spot on for our beloved visitors. Visit the following url if you want to keep an eye on it! https://jsfiddle.net/p4L87a0r/1/
  2. "I think you see Rugby Park tonight, I've no seen Rugby Park like this for a long time. It's testament to the good work that's been done here. Their supporters came believing as did ours and I think their players and ours believed that the semi final was there for them" Interviews still available here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43394424
  3. What a stinking day that was. I drove up after a day of uni then a nightshift on the Friday - shattered and clearly shouldn't have been driving. Pranged the motor on the way up. Eventually got there absolutely fuming with myself/life in general. Got out of the car and stepped straight into a gigantic 6 inch puddle, right in front of the Greenock young team - who ripped the absolute pish out of me. Then Killie put in that performance. A thoroughly s**te day.

    VAR

VAR is a funny one. I've only been to two games where it's been active. Moldova v Scotland and Scotland v Israel. I don't recall any incidents being referred to VAR in the Moldova game. On Saturday night though, I quite enjoyed the suspense/theatre it created! Everyone around going mental celebrating, but I can see that the ref hasn't actually given the goal yet. Was the foul on Gilmour inside the box / outside the box? I got to have that debate there and then with my mates and the ref (with the help of VAR) settled it and a few telts were handed out accordingly. I think everyone is keen to jump on the "VAR is ruining the game for the real supporters" bandwagon, but I thought it added to the experience. My concern with the direction VAR is going, is the "clear an obvious error" thing. Not everything is black and white. VAR has the potential to make the home/away referee bias worse. Bear with me here, thinking out loud with no stats or evidence! e.g. Morelos goes down in the box in front of 50,000 orcs at Ibrox with minimal/no contact. Referee sub consciously goes, "ah f**k it, I'll give it, VAR will overturn it if I've f**ked the show". VAR reviews it, decides that although the contact was minimal, the referee hasn't made an obvious error. Penalty to Rangers! conversely, Following an incredible loan spell at QoS, Innes Cameron returns to spearhead newly promoted Killie's attack. He goes down in the box in front of 50,000 orcs at Ibrox with minimal/no contact. Referee sub consciously goes, "ah f**k it, I won't bother giving it, VAR will overturn it if I've f**ked the show". VAR reviews it, decides that as the contact was minimal, the referee hasn't made an obvious error. I don't think there's an easy solution to it, but as a "real" fan, I'm still in favour of VAR for now!
  5. @Kfc_sjp - I've been doing the same as you. I've mashed together a jsfiddle so anyone can see the counts as/when they wish. Use at your own risk! https://jsfiddle.net/s2q34d5L/5/
  6. Since the 2000 milestone announcement, 200 new seats are now "sold" on TicketCo. I'd put us somewhere between 2300 and 2500, but definitely above 2200.
  7. Update based on ticketco data. The numbers obviously aren't that useful - due to unknowns/caveats. The main thing I draw from it is is that there's no sign from here that new season ticket sales are slowing massively. Notes: 1) As pointed out by @Armadale Killie, these "New Sales" will also include people who have moved seats (as their old seats are still marked as Reserved). 2) Sold/Reserved/Unavailable is not the total number of season tickets we've sold!
  8. Re: Season ticket sales Based on the data that drives the ticketco website.. A total of 2907 seats are "not available". Presumably this number will include all STs from last year who may/may not have renewed as well as any sections that are closed. Since 2pm on Wednesday, around 61 seats have become "not available", which suggests that we've sold 61 STs to brand new customers in that last 48 hours. I've no idea if that's good/bad/indifferent, but I'll keep posting the numbers if anyone is interested.
  9. I agree with most of what you've said, but the suggestion in bold doesn't help the club either. If there are current ST holders who can't afford to renew at full price, I would prefer that they do take a ST for next year at a reduced cost (or "free" if necessary) . We need to do everything we can to keep the support we have. I know from personal experience how easy it is to fall out the habit of going to the football. If you don't offer these people something and they take a year off, you risk losing them forever. That said, I'm not a current season ticket holder, so I appreciate my opinion isn't really an important one! Out of curiosity if we do go down, how likely is it that season ticket prices will actually go down? Did the Edinburgh / Dundee clubs reduce ST prices when they went down? What I'm getting at...Is it possible the club could start selling STs for next year regardless of what division we are in? It would give them a pretty good idea of what kind of goodwill they can expect from the current ST holders. Looking forward to taking out a NEW season ticket next year regardless.
  10. So how exactly does one achieve a mandate for another independence referendum?
  11. Nonsense. What if some people are unhappy with how their government is handling the PANDEMIC? How do they effect change? FWIW, I'll be voting SNP, but people deserve the right to voice their opinion - especially during a PANDEMIC
  12. What happens if both clubs can't field a team? 3-0 wins all round?
  13. Pretty sure @mathematics will give you a ban for this suggestion!
  14. Dunno. What's your opinion? Or have the blogs / twitter accounts you frequent not told you what to think yet?
  15. To be fair to him, its been well over 20°c recently.
  16. I enjoy Gav's commentary. I love listening to his biased commentary because he's generally saying exactly what I'm thinking, rather than sitting on the fence just for for the sake of it. He's killie daft and it shows. My personal favourite is this one. Tell me this doesn't put a big stupid grin on your face!
  17. Sounds like you should start a thread on the subject. What about "Unionists screw up education again"?
  18. This is genius. Thanks for that. Not all heroes wear capes!
  19. Or, you could just give a straight answer to that question. Come on, give us one suggestion as to how you resolve this quickly and fairly. A solution that doesn't involve George Floyd or "eating your own fingers" (wtf?) will be better than anything you've offered up so far.
  20. Either you've misunderstood, or you've whooshed me here. The AQA reference was to the England and Wales results which they'll be issuing over the next couple of weeks.
  21. I've no idea if the SNP are to blame or not. I do wonder if we'll see the same level of anger directed at the AQA when they issue their results in the next fortnight (which I bet will show the exact same patterns). However, it's pretty obvious to anyone with any ability to think critically that: a) Some teachers will over-estimate their pupils grades, maybe an honest mistake, wishful thinking, or perhaps they had prior knowledge that some pupils/schools were going to get f**ked over and adjusted accordingly. b) Some schools simply do perform better than others. Some teachers are better than others. The better the school, the more likely it is that they are attracting good teachers. I know I had one or two great teachers and many bang average teachers. The SQA's methodology will take this and much more into account. c) The estimated grades were clearly too high and needed to be adjusted. If they weren't adjusted then the value of a good grade to the pupils who actually deserve it is diluted and puts them at a disadvantage. d) It's very harsh to mark a student down on the basis of what school the had the misfortune of going to. I haven't actually seen anyone suggest how they'd solve the problem. Without completing the curriculum/exams - I see two ways of going about it... You either: Do what the I think the SQA have done (adjust grades based on past teacher and school performance) and you deal with any discrepancies in more detail during the appeals process. This means that the vast majority of students get their grades in a timely manner and can move on. Those who need to appeal will wait a bit longer to get their results. Or You forensically analyse each pupil, their history and come up with a bespoke grade for everyone. This means that no-one gets their grades in a timely manner. Many would still appeal anyway and you're no better off as far as I can tell.
  22. Unless I've missed something, it hasn't. The "hack" I think you are referring to is a phising text. It's absolutely nothing to do with the app.
  23. ^Yoon going into full blame the jury mode. What a clown.
