  1. I think you've nailed it with this, a combination of Power's workrate and Tshibola's (hidden but obvious) technical ability and we could have a real player. Obviously Clarke saw something when he got Tish the £5m move. The downside is, I think we've seen enough of him now to know that he just doesn't have Power's attitude, and is more likely going to try and coast through games rather than influence them. For that reason, unfortunately, I think the latter part of your post is more likely and he should be returning south of the border when his deal's up.
  2. Pipe down, daft lad. It's nice to contribute, rather than just troll - give it a try, you'll feel liberated!
  3. Yep, excellent article - thanks for posting. Very interesting to see the backstory to some of their social media output this season, as it really has improved drastically. I feel it really has helped improve the fan/club relationship (obviously helped by the performances on the pitch too!) Excellent work, Scott!
  4. Agree with you on all of this, the only bit I'd question is why Erwin is starting before Brophy still. I understood at the start it was possibly a confidence building exercise, but he still offers too little, too often - the very same as Tshibola. In terms of Erwin though, we have a hungry, and instant, replacement in Brophy. Intensive work rate and he has proven earlier in the season that he can score goals - baffles me that he's not a regular starter, particularly with Rory injured.

It also can't be overlooked. He's shipped 8 goals in 3 games. It took Jamie Mac 11 games before that to concede 8 goals with, predominantly, the same defence. Yes, he's not directly at fault but he's clearly a big factor.
  6. I actually agree McLean. There are a couple in our squad just now that fall under the same category, which just speaks volumes about how far we've come in the past 7 months! I've every faith SC has a plan. No doubt he'll have a few signings up his sleeve for our push for 2nd next season!

As someone said earlier, he might not have been at fault for all the goals but he did nothing to prevent them. He faced 5 shots and conceded 5 goals. You want your keeper to at least have an influence on the game! Edit: Sky Sports says they had 9 shots on target. I don't recall him making any big saves, so the point still remains.
  8. Targeted baiting there!
  9. Bloody hell, that last sentence shocked me... He's ever the cool diplomat is Steve too! Shows he doesn't need to make a scene (like Lennon/McInnes) when he's remonstrating decisions though. Class to the core.
  10. Agree with all of this. We played brilliantly entertaining football against a good Hibs side today, but as you said we were uncharacteristically poor in defence, and that was the difference. I'd rather we didn't play Fasan, Tshibola or Erwin if I'm being honest, the latter two just don't seem to get out of 1st gear and Fasan has been a pretty weak replacement for Jamie. We've had a fantastic season though, and we're playing the top 5 sides in the last 5 games so it's expected we're going to get tougher games. Let's hope we can see it out with a couple of wins from the last 3 and go into next season the way we deserve to!
  11. Well that's rounded off a piss-poor defensive display. And to make matter worse Ayr have been automatically promoted. I'm away for a drink.
  12. There's one - what a crack!!
  13. I'm worried he's trying to bring him on the same way as he's doing with Erwin. If Jamie isn't injured he needs to be back in the team now surely?!
  14. We might be lucky to keep it at 4 today, dunno what's going on. Cracking game for the neutral, but it sure is s**t for us.
  15. Here they come - same rules apply!
  16. Played ref!! He did trip over himself tbf.
  17. Never saw the first, but he wasn't great at the third there. The defence has been shaky since he came in a few games ago.
  18. Huge gaps in the defence again there, mad as we've been solid at the back since SC came in. Fasan causing uncertainty in the defence? His positioning was certainly pretty guff at their third there.
  19. Some full-bodied tackles flying in today!
  20. Absolutely brilliant for the neutral, my nails are worn away! Right, Mulumbu & Brophy ON and let's get this match won!!
  21. That wasn't his fault tbf. Still, shame we don't have Hibs #2 in our goal.
  22. Absolutely, totally wrong side. Came from absolutely nothing as well. Argh.
  23. Managed to get a stream for the second half - we've come out strong! Hopefully nick a goal (or two) to steady things!
