  1. Glad you clarified. We were all wondering. 🤨
  2. Yep. Armstrong merits a place in the first team, for me.
  3. Looking at this, it’s mad how our team has changed since that collection of chancers last season. I really like this squad TW has built.
  4. How about… Oli Shaw He’ll shag yer maw Then boot the baw Oli Shaw. (repeat)
  5. At the very least two. Cameron has had more than enough chances to impress.
  6. If Robinson is injured, we need two good strikers. Cameron is just not good enough I’m afraid.
  7. What kind of size of crowd is there?
  8. They were from Ghana. Steve Baidoo and Sammy Adjei. Great days 😂
  9. Matty Kennedy to St Mirren loan deal has fallen through 🧐
  10. I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think patience is a luxury we can afford. Imagine if, come May, we miss out on automatic promotion by 1 point and, looking back over the season, we’re able to identify two games towards the end of August where we dropped points due to not having a proven striker in the team? I honestly think the board need to push the boat out and get someone in before the Hamilton game.
  11. I don’t think we can afford to be picky. We’re desperate for a striker. I’d bite your mum’s hand off for Griffiths.
  12. At least one proven striker in, who’s ready to hit the ground running, before Hamilton please. That is the minimum requirement we should be looking at. If we need to push the boat out, get it pushed.
  13. But if we’re still 0-0 against a poor championship team in the dying embers of the game, plan A is failing isn’t it? I say drop Cameron for Burrell until we get a new striker.
  14. Given the lack of joy we’re experiencing at the business end of the pitch, I’d say we try Plan B. We’re playing well, we just need to convert chances into goals.
  15. I’d have Burrell as a starter from here on out until another striker is signed. Much as I like big Innes, we’re not going to get goals from him.
  16. Agreed. This could make or break our season. While big Innes had a good game the other day, we need a proven striker who’ll put those whipped in crosses away. I firmly believe the board have to push the boat out on this one of we are serious about going straight back up.
  17. Cameron is so tame. Needs to be more aggressive with his finishing.
  18. On Monday evening, the Honest Men kick-off their league campaign with a trip to the BBSP Stadium for a long-awaited - and much anticipated - Ayrshire derby, the first league meeting between the sides for 28 years. With no travelling fans, United will need to overcome a partisan atmosphere at Rugby Park for the game which is being broadcast live on BBC Scotland. Opposition Kilmarnock’s extended stay in the top flight ended in May with Dundee defeating them 4-2 on aggregate in the Premiership play-off final. Former St. Johnstone manager Tommy Wright, who took over from Alex Dyer in February, was unable to turn around the fortunes of the club and just two years after finishing third under Steve Clarke, Killie find themselves in the Championship. With 23 players out of contract in the summer, only a handful of last season’s squad remain, most notably Rory McKenzie and the experienced Chris Burke. Innes Cameron, who spent an unsuccessful spell on loan at Somerset Park last year, has led the line for them so far this season. Tommy Wright’s side progressed through their Premier Sports Cup group despite paying the penalty for fielding the suspended Daniel Armstrong in a 2-0 win over East Kilbride. Killie also defeated Clyde and Stranraer 2-1 and Morton on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Rugby Park. https://ayrunitedfc.co.uk/kilmarnock-match-preview look at the amount of bitchy, snidey wee comments in this article. From gloating about relegation to Cameron’s “unsuccessful” loan spell.
  19. Nervous but confident. If we get a proven striker in, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t win the league. It’s early, I know, but based on yesterday’s results, we look to have the strongest defence in the league. Get it right at the other end and we should be comfortably top come May.
  20. To be fair, she’s more of a creative mid.
  21. I’d rather hand my maw a 3 year contract than Sow.
