It would and it wouldn't.
Being selfish, it would be great to have a jaunt or two, most likely to somewhere off the beaten track. At this stage in the club's development, it might be more than we could chew.
I don't see us as being equipped at the moment to make any sort of impact. In a year's time we might be more ready.
We're very reliant on loan signings, which are often made at the end of the transfer window. We would need to be ready to go at the end of July, and even then we might be bedding in half a new team.
I would agree with this - you want to do as well as you can every season and if we qualify, we will have deserved it, but a lot of the teams who have had a good season to qualify for European competition have struggled very badly the following season when they entered European competition.
Aberdeen this year - in a relegation battle.
Dundee United last year - relegated
St. Johnstone a couple of seasons ago - relegation play-off
Maybe the higher prize money available from his season onwards will make a difference but the recent European experiences, and the hang-over, for Scottish teams have not been good at all.

Lyndon Dykes and Che Adams are not exactly prolific goal scorers in their respective leagues, never mind at international level but they way they play has been absolutely vital in the success of Scotland's Euro's qualifying campaign. Vassel is part of what we have achieved also and the other two players being pushed will not play the same role as he does.
There is a lot more to playing up front that scoring goals in today's game. Got to careful that we do not upset the overall team.

Will you? What’s he done since going off with a deed leg against well?
Tonight is a game we need everyone to be pulling their weight to gain a bit of breathing space over those below for the time being and no harm to vassell as said above he’s been “woeful”.
If he plays tonight he better be at the races or we’ll be witnessing another performance where we’ll be left thinking about the chances we blundered a fit vassell on Saturday and we could’ve easily been 5 up at HT
It's his pressure that starts the move for our second goal on Saturday.

No. Dennis did not stop a goal scoring opportunity.

Indeed @skygod - perhaps @ParkHotel can jump in and enlighten us with his/ her inside knowledge and understanding and help square the circle in terms of what we are missing…….
Anyone using values quoted in newspapers will never get any circle squared.

Anybody could see that, barring a huge growth spurt, it was unlikely Gilmour would make it as a pro. He makes Warnock look like Schwarzenegger.
Brighton probably took a look at him as a favour, the way Chelsea signed Eden Hazard’s brother Thorgan, who was useless.
I’m sure there are other examples. Fabio and Rafael at Man Utd?
That's a bit harsh, over 40 caps for Belgium and 300 first team appearances?
I'm glad you didn't ever see me play...

I agree they should be able to, I disagree that it was the right thing to do today. I also agree that it can be effective (though my god it's awful to watch) but I wouldn't grant that it was effective today - that was an utterly diabolical game of football decided by a keeper howler and a few good individual performances and some absolutely tragic finishing from Motherwell. We were a bit better in the second half, but based on the first half the fair result would have been to give both teams no points.
As @aldo71 said, a win's a win but I desperately hope that's not the height of our footballing ambition. There was more football played at the old Glasgow killie fans monday night five-a-side game than was on show today.
Look, fully with the knowledge that a glib "I like winning" is the traditional answer to this, and equally with the knowledge that I'm a moaning-face football puritan, but (I'm genuinely asking here) do people actually enjoy watching us launch cross after cross after cross until one finds a target or we get a break?
Tragic finishing from Motherwell? What did I miss? McGinn going through and providing a full back finish was their only attempt on target. They had a header very early on but that was it and I wish I had a fiver for every time a game was decided by a few good performances - a higher level of performance by a few players on one side is generally the difference between two teams.
The fact that you describe yourself as Puritan means that you are reaching for the unattainable.
Winning the game is the very definition of effective in most cases, and we were effective today,

Watson is so technically accomplished.
Can’t see him being here for much longer.
Outstanding. He's our best prospect for a long time and I think the same.

Outside the top sides, very few teams, if any, can replace an injured first choice player with a player of similar ability. Ability is the reason behind a player being selected ahead of another player so if our first choice player is unavailable we can expect the team to be weakened. All we can do is go with and hope that the replacement does a good job.
I can't see any value in bringing Findlay into this debate - he is a very good player, was available and did not tip us over into having too many defenders in the squad.

What can be wrong with ragin' Celtic fans on a wee film?

I don't think it is at all fair to describe Innes as "stealing a living".
The lad gives every ounce of effort possible when called upon by DM.
He may have a bit to go in developing his skills - which no doubt the coaching staff are working hard on - but I don't think any of our current squad can be described as "stealing a living".
Agreed. This stealing a living and wage thief stuff is brutal. Players sign contracts to be fit and ready to play if selected. They are paid on that basis.

Maybe I’m misreading the mood but I think it’s brilliant that consumers - the fans - will stop being shortchanged for their admission money.
It’s human nature that people will want added time to be short when their team is ahead and long when they are chasing a goal.
But it’s only fair that the game lasts as close as possible to 90 minutes of play. Ideally, there would be a game clock which is stopped for interruptions and timekeeping would be taken out of the hands of the referee, who has enough to do.
Time-wasting will still lie with the opinion of the referee though and there will need to be consistency. If goalkeepers aren’t going to release the ball within six seconds and be penalised by a free kick, they should expect to see the full amount of time added on.
It’s time officials clamped down on time-wasting at set pieces too, throw-ins especially.
I am one who has the opposite view from you.
I appreciate this is all about personal preference and mine could be an old fashioned view, but want my game to finish as close to 5:45pm as possible. I go to watch a game of football not look to be given every possible second of ninety minutes play. I might come away annoyed that referee didn't play enough injury time if we were chasing the game, but I will never think I've been short changed financially. The clock will work for us some weeks and against us the rest.

Pea brain, pish, fok off…….yes I’d like to meet up with you for a beer….not. I was delighted with everything today, apart from the empty seats near me that decided not to stand up to the scum. Wanting more people to support the team is positive, you thick tosser. I’d rather scoop my eyes out with a rusty spoon than waste drinking time with you.
Maybe not any more drinking time tonight?

Been watching Kilmarnock for decades and no matter how good or bad we have been, a home cup tie against one of the Old Firm is something to be looked forward to.

If below 7th is unacceptable, that would mean we have been unacceptable in over half the last 20 seasons or so.

I think SevCo will act on this given the video evidence and the fact the guy is a coach with their women's team, so no-one important. They will throw him under the bus for it (quite rightly as it is shocking behaviour).
Then look out for them using this as an example of how they have zero tolerance of violence and bigotry for the next 30 years...

I understand mistakes and I'm not into thinking there is a conspiracy against us but I can't understand someone saying our goal needs looked at, but Consadines handball doesn't.

Just watched the Sportscene couple of minutes after giving myself some time to calm down after he game.
I'm left wondering why the powers that be, don't want Kilmarnock in the top league next year. I'm not a conspiracy theory person but there has top be a reason why that handball was not referred to the referee.
Will be interesting to hear what the official explanation/excuse is for this week.

Too much is made of managers making changes during games. I can't remember the last time I watched a full game and did not see substitutions being made. They either work or they don't, but it's just a feature of the modern game.
As for changing things before games, every manager should be thinking ahead on what he thinks the team will need to do, to either stay in the game or dominate the game, depending on the opposition.
To me, SC was always looking to stay in the game, frustrate the opponent, grind away at the opponent, start to move their shape and as the game progressed take advantage of whatever opportunities arose. Many of the so called half-time tweaks were not as a result of changes but the result of a game plan coming to fruition.
I think McInnes works with a similar thought pattern, but he doesn't have the same level of player to execute things.

Willie Watters would win this easy...

I don't think the draw is fixed either but could add a 'now' to that if you look at previous semi final draws.
I think this claim has it's roots in times gone past, and in the 70's and 80's every time both Celtic and Rangers made it to the semi final of the Scottish cup (nine times) they avoided being drawn against each other.

Dumfries House is owned by a charity , not Charles . All proceeds are ploughed back into the upkeep and running of the estate .
Surely that’s better than the previous landowner ?His charity. I don't know anything about the previous landowner, but it all remains scraps from the top table to me.

I've never really understood why we should be grateful to people who own huge tracks of land, in this case about 2000 Acres (tiny by his standards), because people get jobs out of it. Rest assured he is not losing money on it.
It's great for those people, obviously, but why does know one ever ask the question of why do they have this land in the first place.

It's horrendous. He is a very, very good player for us. As always, it says more about them than it does about the player.
