  1. Broadfoot? The best defender we have at the club? Yes, he will be the problem. Of course. And Findlay is a very good player, on a bit of an unlucky run, but he will be fine.
  2. Correct. There was no way the striker was running onto the ball. Not a goal scoring opportunity. Just a foul.
  3. The 2018 close season before Shankland moved to Dundee United, there was interest in him from various teams. For whatever reason he committed to stay with them for one more year, as he felt he owed them one more tilt at promotion. He was never going to come to Kilmarnock at that stage. By the time that he was available again the following summer, he was able to command bigger wages that we pay. People at Ayr were gobsmacked he chose to go to Dundee United.
  4. One win and two defeats. I'm no happy clapper when it comes to this Scotland team as there is much to improve, but for you to deny them the victory in Serbia is very harsh.
  5. Got to remember he is second choice striker for Scotland and I'm not sure who else has done anything to be in front of him at the moment, when we play a team that needs a physical presence up front. He wasn't that bad today at all, was a bit slow with one of his chances and took an extra touch when a confident striker would have hit it first time. I hope he gets one of his erse to get him started.
  6. Agree with all you say, but you can't ignore the fact that Millen was attacked by our resident conspiracy theory expert (with support from some other posters) as only being in the team because his Dad is a coach at the club, could explain why their are so many being reactive and protective in their view.
  7. Maybe, but it is not inconceivable that the assistant gave his opinion to an already wavering referee. Daniel Bachman's sending off against Ranger's at Ibrox was overturned because the assistant, at the edge of the park, had informed the referee that it had been a deliberate strike on the Rangers player. The fact that the referee took so long to make the decision is very telling.
  8. Decent game to watch. The penalty decision makes the difference between one point and no points as although we were always in the game, we lacked the bit of class in the final ball or effort on goal today. It happens. If Hibs are one of the better sides this year, so are we.
  9. I heard different, and Clarke did rate him, but knew he wasn't ready for his team. Was aware of the two, significant, injuries that he had at a young age and the pressure that he was under to come good for the club. He needed to play games. And to be fair, for the vast majority of the time, it was a hard team to break into. He's a really good player and if he stays injury free, he has places to go and a cap can't be out the question.
  10. Brophy? For no cost to a club? Plenty of places.
  11. Sunderland did not bid. Rangers did not bid that amount.
  12. Don't do that. Just this site would do...
  13. Not this season, so far though, that is a positive going forward.
  14. Fair enough, but this shouldn't be a huge week for the manager, we are off a good win and we should be looking forward. In my opinion the dressing room has always leaked (they all do). When Clarke was here there was no room for negativity but they were exceptional times.
  15. The club is not playing it out in public though. The player's Dad is (and what a bellend he is making of himself) and you should recognise that. Neither the club nor the manager are at fault for this, but the usual people on here are trying to turn the bad behaviour of the father of a player who has no divine right to play for Kilmarnock into an issue that paints the management of the club in a bad light.
  16. See this, sign with us and you will be picked every game no matter what, thing. It's not true.
  17. Maybe he is really trying to say that the manager is built like a s**tebag...
  18. That would be true. However, there is absolutely no proof that is the case here.
  19. Never pleased to come away with nothing, but a decent game and that was decent performance from us. Very pleasing to see Kiltie turn in a performance like that - hopefully he can keep it up and with they way he has played recently it looks like he can.
  20. Was always a good player. Someone above saying he is now 10 times the player he was before. Really?
  21. Considering Boyd was top goal scorer in the league during that third time around - I really hope so! No matter what Mulumbu turns out to be like this time, it is in a no-brainer to sign him at the moment.
  22. May be a bit of strange thing to want on a manager's cv but for me a previous sacking or two as well as successful spells is important as it shows that valuable experience should be available. Often with an up and coming manager, that side of experience can be missing.
  23. I know it is your opinion and you are entitled to it, but for me you are way off the mark. Billy Bowie has done way more good than bad during his tenure, shows no sign of stopping his support for the club and I'd hate to think that he thought was the view of most Kilmarnock fans. Without him, I think we would be gone as a topflight club.
  24. We have to stop comparing Dyer to Clarke, but Clarke made all the same types of statements at the beginning of the season - get safe was always the first aim. From there, little targets over short periods of time was one of his methods. And I've seen that people are using the fact that Dyer has access to eight of the players Clarke had available. Fair enough if that is used, but if you turn that on it's head and Dyer doesn't have access to the players that over the piece made all the difference - Bachmann, Stewart, Mulumbu, Jones and this season, SOD.
